redot sights use too much batteries
i have an aimpoint redot sight and it goes through those little watch batteries like crazy! is there a trick anybody knows to extend the life of the scope? like connecting a mini aeg batterie on it somehow?

Get a better replica or the real thing. My replica is one of the best. My batteries where just recently changed after about 1 year of use. The real one use 123A batteries (like in Taclights). They take a long time to die in aimpoint!

You must have a bad one there, if it's eating threw batteries like that, even my cheap KA aimpoint only uses one 2032 a year, and thats if I forget to turn it off and it runs for an extra day or two.

im on the same page as medhatboy, my RDS was on for a solid 40 hours on highest power before running out.

I could do with a fading battery. The G&P Red/Green dot Aimpoint I just got is too damned bright. Washes out targets in lowlight situations.
That prob. means I'm going to be looking at lower battery life. |

you can get a aimpoint with over 5 years of continuous (day and night) use. one i have is about 50 hours though.

I've forgotten to turn mine off after games (usually on around 3rd lowest setting) and only found it still on 1 or 2 days later, no problem. Do you know which brand you have, haakon45?
