Airsoft through gun shops?

I was wondering:

Would a local gun retailer consider ordering airsoft? Has anyone tried this method? Do you think it would work or do you need a different license for airsoft than regular guns?

Generally speaking, real steelers hate airsoft.

Would you go to a car dealership to buy a toy car?

In that case, does anyone know a Canadian retailer that isn't afraid of KWC? BuyAirsoft.ca only carries a limited selection and 007 airsoft (once they get rollin' again) "don't deal with KWC anymore".

If you want to know wether this option was tried, it was. But beleive it or not, the importation permits for airsoft (replicas) are not the same as for real guns.

So gunsmiths wont do it. Or not for civilians.

Just one question, will you give up the rights so that I may tag that as a sig line? ROFL!

haha awesome.

I seriously doubt it would keep it form getting seized, but if it works....

It is a letter detailing the contents, i assume specifying that it is simply a toy and so on.

Yeah, detailing the content as airsoft guns, which means customs will definitly pop the box and take a look inside. Then they'll realize just what sort of "toy" it is, and bad stuff happens.

Problem with importing airsoft into Canada is not that customs doesn't realize that airsoft guns are "toys". Problem is that you're not allowed to import things that resemble real guns to the point of fulfilling the replica firearms definition, which the vast majority of non-clear airsoft do.
