Poor Man's Chrony?
I searched for it on here. Couldn't find anything.
So what is a "poor man's" chrony exactly? How do you do it? It would be interesting to measure the FPS of my guns. |

Aluminum cans are what's referred to as poor man's chrony. Some people gauge their gun's FPS based on degree of BB penetration to a particular part of the can at a given distance. However, since cans vary widely country-to-country, beverage-to-beverage, it's not a particularly reliable means to chrony one's gun.

someone also came up with another method, where they used two microphones frm the dollar store, spaced apart and using the time/distance between microphones and when they pick up the sound of the bb going through a piece of paper they were able to calculate approx fps.
