Hypothetical Question
I received my part-metal Glock17 today from buyairsoft.ca (YAY! Took 2 days to ship, damn fast).
If I were to...say hypothetically...remove the red nozzle on the front, what could I do? I'm not sure if it's removable or what, cause it's metal too. (I've never dismantled a gun before, but it's so easy on this one!) ' |

Mask off the areas you do not want any paint to get into and spray paint it with a matte black.

dont know much about glocks, but just looks glued in there to me. i would wrap the barel in a cloth, put it in the vice and heat it up with a heat gun or torch, then get a pair of vice grips on the tip and pull....
btw, what the hell is with getting an orange tip gun in canada? |

Just spray it...doesn't take a theoretical physicist to figure out how.....and can i just ask how old you are? It will be interesting to see if they sell to minors. If they do we can add that to the thread thats already discussing them.

Do you mean, how the hell did I get an orange tip gun? I dunno, that's how it came. And I'll show you a different picture. The barrel isn't supposed to protrude that much on a G17 is it? It's just the red barrel part that's making it fucked up.
Also, it doesn't take a theoretical physicist to determine that I am, in fact, age verified. :P <------ |

Why are you wondering how much I paid for it? And no I didn't know.

because buyairsoft.ca is looking shifty to a lot of us?

Why are they looking shifty? They answered about 6 questions I had, I ordered the gun 2 days ago and I already have it, and it seems like good quality except for the orange tip (although I've never owned another GBB)

Put some pliers on that tip and twist it out. It's glued in there. Many guns that come via the U.S. are like that. There may be a little glue residue left, but that's easy to scrape off after the tip is out.

Sweet I'll try that. Oh, and the gun is quite heavy too. Which is a good thing. |

It worked! Yay! Looks way better now. Thanks man. It was a shitty plastic thing. I thought I was damaging the barrel, but then it was deforming a lot, and then I knew that it couldn't be metal.

Thats an HFC Glock. What is covered up by the masking tape on the handle of one of your pics? Does it say "Booming"?
Does anyone else notice how buyairsoft.ca photoshopped there pic of this gun that they sold this guy? Here is a link to there ad and you can see where they photoshopped the HFC logo out. As well as the part which says "Booming". http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=103 This means that buyairsoft.ca is some how affiliated with hobbytron in the US. Infact all of there inventory matches with Hobbytron exactly. Last edited by Uziguy; February 7th, 2007 at 19:36.. |

Sorry about teh age verification thing, but i didn't see it in your first post....going blind probably lol...but yeah, there is just somethign not quite right about these guys, or at least it seems that way to me. I posted in the otehr thread saying that once there are a few first hand experiences with these guys and if they are willing to jump on board with the age verification system we have here then i'm all for another retailer, but until then i'll be on the cautious side. As for the guns they are selling, they are all mid-low quality but for someone who is on a budget then thats great. As long as it works then i have no problems *shrugs* don't need any gucci trades for it to work now does it...
anyway, didn't mean to sound like a jackass but i'm still keeping my eyes open. |
