silencer for Tanaka M29

I just bought a Tanaka M29 44 Magnum Heavy Weight 4 inch pistol and was wondering if this gun is capable of using a silencer...also what would be a good holster for this gun?

I've only seen the KM silencer adapter for the Tanaka RedHawk, not the M29. That's the only silencer adapter i've seen for a Tanaka revolver.

In real life, silencers dont work for revolvers. So since a lot of this is an attempt at realism, your chances of finding anything will be low.

I've seen them on real life ones before, though that might have been on TV, don't quite remember. Anyway I was just wondering, though I still would like to know what a good holster for this weapon would be.

Silencers work to a degree on revolvers. I remember reading that the US army issued silencer-equiped revolvers to soldiers during the Vietnam war for use in the tunnels. I even remember a (staged) photograph. Could have been a special design of some kind, but my sources indicate that silencers have at least been experimentally used on revolvers.

They fail miserably because a LOT of the blast comes from the gap between the cylinder and the barrel. On a small caliber revolver, it may help a bit for a little while. On a military revolver that will get battered it's useless. On a .44? It's a total waste of time. There is enough side blast with a .44 to blow your hands off.

(Yes, I own a real M29, before anyone asks).

Movies use anything that looks cool, even if it does not work.
