throat mic+cell phone
In my province is it against the law to talk on your cellphone while driving unless you are using a headset. Personally, I find headsets to be uncomfortable.
I'm wondering if it's possible to get a tactical throat mic which will work with a cellphone. I'm almost positive I'm not the first one to think about this, and I'm sure some of you on ASC must have already tried this. Any info/insight you can provide would be helpful. I don't have a cellphone yet, so if you know of any models that this does work with, let me know. Thanks for reading. |

Nokia cellphones has the standard 1-pin headset connector (don't know if they do now). I connected one of my older nokia headset to my Moto radio, and it worked fine (except for the loud volume). So I would assume a throat mic that works on the moto radio works as well in the nokia phone.
I'm not too updated with phones now a days, so check to make sure it uses the same pin as the headset. |

IASUS make ones just for cell phone use. I think they differ from the Tactical ones as they use VOX instead of a PTT switch. I know my IASUS doesn't work on my cell or the 10/4 (two-way) feature.
