KSC USP 45. Full size problem(s). (UPDATED with new issue)

Hi,

I recently purchased a KSC USP 45. Full Size, and it's been acting a bit strange lately. There are a couple issues I have with it.

1) The gas seems to spit out of the ejection port (little drops end up on the top of the slide and barrel) after each shot.
2) BB's roll out of the barrel. I did some searching and found out that that seems to be an issue with hop up. I tried it all the way up, all the way down, and right in the middle. Yet every once and a while a BB still rolls out.
3) I only seem to get 3-4 mags worth of BB's each time I fill it with gas. (I spray it in for 2 seconds, then give it a 2 second rest, then I spray it in for another 2-3 seconds.) Should I be putting more in? Read below.
4) The magazine doesn't seem to accept gas that well. I am holding it upside down, and pushing it right in. I've tried with little force, medium amount of force, and quite alot of force. Gas still sprays out. Could it be my propane adapter?

If you could help me answer these questions that would be great. I'm a bit worried about the BB's rolling out of the barrel though.

I am currently running propane on the plastic slide. I have a metal one on the way, so I figure I didn't care if the plastic one broke.

Thanks.

1)i may be wrong, but why wouldnt it? I notice propane on the end of my barrel as well as on the eject port all the time.

2) is a result combination of too much lube inside the inner barrel(probably this one), and lack of hopup.

3) is not a problem, using hi-capas with around 30 shots noone else complains about getting 2.5 mags worth of gas...why are you?

4) *edit. Does your propane adaptor contain a black o-ring? if not pick one up from a local hardware store(there is only one size), my adapter sprayed excessivly untill i did that (i believe anything before v2 doesnt contain one)

Hi, thanks for your response.

Like I said, I've tried hop up half, all the way up, and all the way down, along with different strategies and I sitll get the problem. Also, there is no lubrication in the barrel from what I see.

Also, I researched that you were supposed to get around 5-8 mags worth of rounds before you run out. I may be wrong, but I was just wondering.

My propane adapter does not have an o-ring. But I'll look into getting one.

Thank you for taking the time to help me with my problem.

Dude man your asking too much out of your GBB. Is it brand new?

The seal on the slide + magazine is not making good contact maybe you need some silicon oil on the rubbers on the mag. Thats probably why its spraying everywhere. Remember always hold the GBB straight when firing.

On average, a regular GBB mag can only hold 60 shots of bbs.
My GBB with the metal slide will only lasts for 50 shots of bbs. Which is My TM HI-CAPA 4.3 with metal slide upgrade.
Your usp should be getting 2-3 mags shots of bbs max!
The propane adapter should always have the spraying noise while you fill it in the mag. It is just the design. It shouldnt be spraying liquid out but you can hear it spray and leak.

You should be holding the propane can in your mag until your mag starts spraying out propane like mad.

Theres nothing wrong with your adapter... It all happens to us.

As for bb's rolling out check out my thread about the 4.3 HI-Capa bb roll out.
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...hlight=bb+roll
Depending on the age of your gbb, the bb may roll out because the hop-up rubber is just screwed or theres too much oil in that area or dirt causing the bb to slide out.

I was having the same problem. You are putting too much silicon oil. Making the bb's just slide right off the hop up. Maybe you should take out the hop-up rubber and clean it with soap and water.

hahaha, soap and water. Try the black rod included with your gbb, attach some cotton to the end. No need to take the hopup unit out.

Most hardware stores carry the required o-ring i know how you feel with the excess of propane escaping! (and even MORE once the mag is full)

5-8 mags....0_o

Thanks for your help.

I took the inner barrel out from the outer barrel with my hex set and hammer, and I looked, and it seems okay. But now the pieces won't go back properly, and I'm certain that they are all in the correct places.

On the inner barrel, there is a "U" shaped piece. The piece is very loosely fitted on the inner barrel. I put the open end facing up.

After I inserted the inner barrel back into the outer barrel, I started putting the pin back in. It got stuck about half way, on this one specific piece. I'm pretty sure that this piece is for keep the inner barrel in the outer barrel.

Now before I ever took it apart, the inner barrel attached to the hop up could move around a little bit. Up, down, and side to side. But only a little bit. When I put the pin in half way and it got stuck, the inner barrel was stuck. Couldn't move at all.

Unfortunetly, I am no photographer, and have a very bad camera, that can't focus on anything other than mountains. I apologize for the quality of the pictures.

My pictures were too big for the website, so I uploaded to an online picture hosting site.

If someone could help me. This would be great.

Hey mang, theres nothing wrong with soap and water! The soap wont damage the hopup since soap is such a safe liquid.
Then all you need to do is relube the hopup. By rubbing a very small amount of silicon oil on it.

Anyways for PCollins post, dude I have no clue what that is.
You might wanna speak to someone about that who is experienced in GBB's or consult the manual with the schematics on it. It should be fairly easy to fix or reassemble.

The one closer to the end of the barrel faces open end up. (as you described)
The second one however faces down (think upsidedown U) the space at the bottom is for that spring that you described not being able to press in all the way. (watch out, that spring is real easy to lose)
This is out of experence with the compact, but i believe they have a very similar design

^^ part 12 you put in proper, 18 you didnt?

Beyond this i cant say what would be wrong, i dont know anything beyond the compact design
