WA Prokillers, grip safety missing?

Hey, what's the deal with the WA prokiller 1911s? they don't seem to have a grip safety. I always thought that feature was necessary for that particular browning design. Unless this design is based on P.Ord's LDA trigger.. I don't see how this can work..

No grip safety because of how the selector feature works with the PK's. Semi doesn't pull the trigger as far as full auto. I suspect that the grip safety does not have enough swing to block the semi mode and allow the full auto mode between gripped and ungripped condition.

Thanks. Do you happen to know if there's a kit that disables/replaces the grip safety? I'm not very fond of that mechanism. It looks like a general bitch. :smack:

A trick I found was just slipping on a hogue hand-all grip around it. Basically just disaibles the safety, adds a bit of grip and is cheap to boot.

Either strap the rear safety down with a hogue or you can file down the locking features which are part of the rear safety.

I think you can saw off the entire finger which protrudes rearwards. They block the trigger loop when the safety is not depressed.
