I went to England, and all I got was this lousy...
...uh... Brit Kit.
So I hit pretty much every surplus store in Northern England that I could find, and I came away with some pretty cool swag. For those of you who are into DPM, I'll list off everything I got and how much it cost me. (top down) DPM Drill cap: 5£ OD/Black Shemagh: 8£ Surplus DPM shirt: 16£ Dog Tags w. black silencers(not visible in pic): 3£ New (non-issue) DPM pants: 18£ Surplus OD "Operator" gloves: 5£ "Viper" Black tactical LBV: 30£ "Viper" OD kneepads: 12£ Not having to go to my first game in jeans and a T-shirt: priceless. Total cost was 97£ - or approx. $200 I almost bought a camo LBV instead of the black one, but it was US Woodland, not DPM, and they wanted a staggering 89£ for it. (over $180 CAD). PLUS, I wanted something I could use as part of a S.W.A.T. kit later on. But I think the black works well. Thoughts? Opinions? The DPM colors are slightly different from the cap to the shirt to the pants... pants and cap are brand new, so I assume they'll fade eventually; the shirt was the best one they had in my size (in the U.K. - I'd be known as a"fat bastard".) but it's still a bit faded. I figured it'd be mostly covered by the LBV and shemagh anyway. PLUS, this one was the only one with the Union Jack still sewn to the sleeve. I'm going to try to get some better pictures taken soon; this was just what I could manage with the timer on my camera. lol. I've yet to purchase an AEG - and to be honest, I'm not totally sold on the SA80. Not to mention the fact that I can't seem to find one on any retailer website... maybe I missed it though. Oh, well... I'll get some kind of an AEG at some point. |

Those are pretty sweet, The combonation is nice by as you said the shirt does fit the hat and pants. Nice find though, pretty good price aswell.(If I'm not mistaken it's cheaper than in Canada here)

The slight colour mismatch might be down to having a tropical shirt & temperate cap/trousers from different phases of issue. Probably just aged as you said though. |
