ICS M4a1 BB's role out!
I just replaced alot of parts in the upper gear box portion... now all the bb is doing is rolling out of my gun.
I replaced the spring, spring guide, piston, piston head, the front part of the the gearbox that connects to the tappet plate. I dont know whats wrong with it. Everything is in an excellent condition nothing broke. Could it be that the cylinder which has two holes on the side is letting out air? Because those two holes are facing outwards. Thanks all for help. When i shoot I Hear this cling could it be that the bb's are hitting the tightbore b4 its escaping the barrel? The aircompression is that strong even though i changed it to a Prometheus s100 (330-350 fps). |

a cling? does that mean that the gun is actually turning over? or just nothing?
If they are just rolling out, without the trigger being pulled, it could be the hop-up. If it IS in fact shooting (spring is being turned over) then you have a problem inside the mechbox... likely relating to the sealing somewhere. I suggest that you take it apart again, lube everything in the upper, look online to make sure everything looks right, then rebuild it. Or, you could just tell us exacly every move you did in the box... in order. |

check that the piston head is tightly connected with the piston. if that doesn't work then check the o rings on the piston head.

YES! I fixed it. The cylinder was on the other way around. The two holes that let air out is suppose to be facing towards the back not the front. Quick look at how the Upper reciever in ICS website helped THANKS ALL for your reply!
*** now it shoots like a charm*** couldnt ask for anything better. REshimmed everything again, Added systema metal bushings, Plus all the parts that was listed above... the ICS m4a1 is a monster now*** Special thanks to MCGUYVER the wiz of upgrades.... juggz for the help in installing bushings and hours of staring at the mechbox...and kid for suggesting to look at how the thing actually looked**** Now I am sort of a wiz at upgrading! |
