KJ M9 slide problem - solved

I bought the full metal M9 second hand a few months ago, and its been having a problem since the beginning.

at odd occasions, the slide will not return forward; for example when a mag cleans out and the slide is locked back automaticaly, i replace a full mag and release the slide lock lever. however the slide doesnt always go back, either all the way or sometimes it doesnt even move - i have to give it a nudge so that it springs back all the way.

i'v disassembled the gun 2wice since then, and comletely cleaned it and re greased it with light lithium from ct. still no change.
I'm suspecting it might have something to do with the slide return spring, and wondering if i should get an upgraded one, or might there be a slightly different solution to the problem?

Thanks muchly for your time and help.
Talyn

p.s. the gun operates without any other problem at all times - so far lol

Silicon oil. Grease doesn't flow into all the 'nooks & cranies', it stays where you put it. Need to put a drop or two in every little moving part you see, and let it sink/flow in by working the action. GBBs require regular oiling. Grease only really works on the slide rails.

I'd try making sure the lube is everywhere it should be but one of my KJ M9 has been abused, dropped, poorly maintained (I cleaned it once after a year of use) and it always worked, and still works great. This leads me to believe that it could in fact be the spring. Springs just get weak over time. If you've cleaned and lubed it well I'd suggest replacing the spring and see what happens.

Check my attachement, look for a tiny metal pin in the circled area (pin itself is not shown in the manual for some reason) Make sure that pin is in place.
I've seen two M9's including one I own doing what you described because of outer barrel moving around due to the missing pin.

you may want to check the condition of your loading nozzle head, maybe its its twisted and hiting the lips of your mag instead of the bb.

Thanks guys, a few drops of Airsoft Innovations light silicon oil in key places does work wonders! regardless, the spring does seem to loose its nitch, any suggestions as to where i can get one, 007 seems to hold grace only for glocks; on the subject, should i just get a replacement, or upgrade, like a 115% or 125%?

Thanks again.

just as a btw, my slide spring is gone too, barely playable, i got a replacement, but just wanted to mention that was part of the problem in the first place, i guess its worth watching out for.
