Multicam Hardshell Jacket
First multicam hardshell jacket I've seen yet. Might be a good piece of kit for those into multicam that don't want to compromise their setup when in inclement weather.

Great find, eVENT is by far the most breathable waterproof fabric out there, my eVENT jacket is almost as comfortable in warmer weather as a soft shell.

3 ply Goretex will kick the shit out of eVENT in a heartbeat!! And it's way tougher too.

eVent
Kane,
This jacket is 3 ply fabric. It's the same face fabric (2.7oz nylon), same laminated tricot liner, and the film is the same weight/thickness as 3 ply GoreTex. Durability is the same. The film differs in it's olephobic treatment. It's 2x as breathable as classic GoreTex (mil-spec ECWCS), more breathable than Gore XCR. Neither eVent nor Gore XCR pass the DEET and oil tests required in the ECWCS mil spec, but offer huge benefits in breathablity. With the advantage of higher breathbility and the fact that the DEET and oil test have little real world meaning, we chose eVent for our gear. Also, all of the recent large US contracts for waterproof/breathable fabric (ECWCS clothes and Bivies) have used eVent membranes. The PTFE laminate garments used by DND also use eVent film. Hobey |

Fair enough, but cilivan companies such as TNF and the like are using eVENT in some of their waterproof/breathables, and I've learned the hard way that Gore's new 3-ply is superior, but that's my opinion. I'm more familiar with civilian products as I'm more 'Up' on that front. Each to their own... right.
Looks like a good piece of kit to grab, although I'm not a multi-cam hore. LOL! But if it's available in DPM, I'm game. Cheers, Brent
