Lmg suggestions

Hey all I'm looking to get an lmg in the near future what's a good one and brand. I like the look of rpk and other Russian ones but are they worth it or should I just get a m249saw?

M249 or PKM, then PolarStar it to make it completely OP

You mean Daytona it right?

If you are gonna do a Daytona lmg build, LCT RPK and LCT M60 are nice.

While you guys are talking of HPA, I've had discussions in the past with some players about HPA LMGs with the tank hidden in the box mag so you don't have to strap it to yourself. I've yet to find any thread or discussion bout it online. How feasible is that? Anyone here has done it?

would be a REALLY tiny tank. Most you can fit in a box mag is a 9.6 large battery.

There is the Mancraft CO2 carriage adapter and regulator combo which you might be able to conceal in the box mag. It would likely not give you more than a hundred shots , and reloading would be a pain.... Just like the real one !

Crushing dreams with science. Just like the real world lol

Best solution for P* would be to just use a battery powered compressor IN the gun to give it a constant supply of compressed air.

Wow, why didn't I think of that? In retrospect, it's so obvious. And you can't beat the stealth aspect, no one will be able to hear your footsteps.

Daytona are nice, but due to the recoil and more complex system involving moving parts, inherently less reliable than a JACK. Hell, I've seen three posts on different forms from this year alone about them shaking parts loose or breaking parts, and a fourth about metal shavings or something.

He is, but he's right, it wouldn't hold much, you'd need either a VERY small tank or something custom fabricated, which would still be very small. The weight of the mag would also increase a fair bit. Now, the other main issue with a tank that size, is that the LMG is pretty brutal on air consumption, even with the FCU set up to be more efficient, keeping in mind my JACK is already designed to be more efficient on air than the FE.

With the nature of automatic fire, you burn through air tanks at a pretty rapid rate, so you either need to keep multiple or have immediate access to an air fill station.

At NF5, we were filling the C9's tank every time we came back in from fighting.

In comparison, my M16 on P* JACK got through about half of NF5 before I needed to fill the tank.

That said, the C9 also went through more BBs than the rest of our entire Section combined. She was dialled right to the games max FPS/Joule limit of 1.5J, as well as right on their 35RPS limit.

The way I see it the player could carry a few box mags, each with a full HPA tank. But you're right, LMGs do use a lot of air and make it impractical. Although, I guess it could probably be doable in a strictly real capacity setting with box mags of 150 to 200 rounds.

Efficiency is where the on board compressor really shines.
At 25rps and 400fps, my LMG would only sip about 400mah per 3000 rounds. Given the fact it had a 4900mah battery, it would last half the season on one charge.

Full auto is far more efficient on an AEG than on HPA. Coupled with the right internals (light piston, heavy torque ratio gears, ferrite magnet motor) it will get significantly better efficiency than an AEG shooting semi.

If only someone would devise small, well balanced electrical power supplies that'd last long periods of time and you could carry several on you because of their size... We could abandon these silly gas related problems for efficiency and effectiveness.
