M3 flashlights
hey, was looking around and decided i might pick up an m3 streamlight or replica.
the regular m3 is rated at 80-90 lumens. some clones are rated at around 65 lumens. i wanted to know if there is a very noticeable difference between the two. does someone have one of each side by side that can offer some good insight? btw the other model i was looking at was a G&P M3 which was roughly half the cost of the streamlight version. if anyone has the G&P model, please post your experiences with it. thanks. |

I dont have either of these, but I do know that the G&P version uses a Surefire 6p bulb which is 65 lumens. But, if you want brighter, you can buy a high output bulb which is I believe 120 lumens, but only last 20 minutes, opposed to 60 on the normal bulb. A bulb only costs about $25 on ebay.

Here you go!
G&P on the left  The G&P is one of the better M3 replicas. Stay away from the G&G M3's.. |

Thanks Jug for taking the time to take the pics!
can you do me a favor and test the lumens of both in the dark. Are they comparable? Is there a big difference? Pics maybe? hehe |
