Tac Light options?
Just doing a bit of research for a later date purchase.
I searched the forums, perhaps I didn't do it right :banghead: , but I cant seem to find anything that shows what people are using for the tac lights I'm not looking to spend more than about 100 on a tac light that mounts to picatinny rails. So what are you guys using / recommend for both primary and secondary. Cheers |

Do you want it to be a flashlight also or just a dedicated weapon light?

Surefire g2x tactical with you preferred mount. Around a hundred, with the full dependability of SureFire lights.

Is it possible / recommended / practical to use the same light either on the pistol or primary depending on the game?

You'll need a specific holster for pistol w/tac light which is more expense.
But yea you can out them on either or if you want. I only run lights if its night game mode though. |

Thanks.
I didn't plan on running it unless the game depended on it. Then my initial thought was just to leave it on the pistol. Yes. I noticed the holsters are a bit more expensive |

Stay away from Aim Sports tactical lights. The way they are designed with the high/low/strobe you can default set them so if you push the button once it goes high, push it again it goes low push it again goes strobe. No way too set it just to one. makes it that you have to cycle thru the options to do what you want every time. Horrible design and their support at that company is rude.
When I called about it they said it was how they deigned it and didn't care. I will be looking for a new one eventually as well to replace this piece of garbage. |

I have a fenix. For airsoft you'd be hard pressed to need more than 300 lumens. Also the nicer brands have better reflectors for a nicer projection, the cheaper ones will also not achieve their advertised lumens, but are still good enough for airsoft. Just thought I'd mention it since highest lumen count does not mean better.

Weapon lights are cool. You should have one. AFTER you have a solid pocket light.
Fenix/Surefire/Streamlight all make awesome lights. Use a pocket light until you can afford a primary weapon light. Then use the pocket light with your secondary. Dedicated Seconday Weaponlights are a large investment as they need to have the dedicated holster to accompany them, and bulk up what should be a low profile, light and fast weapon. |

Just a quick side-note you can get Fobus tactical holsters for very cheap off eBay that will allow you to run a pistol with a tac light for a good price. However it will scuff up your pistol like a shit ton due to the nature of the retention mechanism. I love mine, simple and built to last forever.
