M4 Mag to Shotgun Conversion?
I posted about this a while ago on Facebook and thought I'd get some feedback from you guys here. I've seen these on the field across Japan but not here in Canada where shotguns are plentiful and inexpensive ($70 for a tri-shot at several surplus shops). So you buy your shotgun, you have your one shell, you then buy another 3 shells... then another 3... then another 6 if the shop hasn't run out of stock (as they always do)... now you have a bajillion shells and 10 shots per.
Well, those shottys aren't exactly meant to be upgraded so 10 shots from a gun firing approx 270fps could certainly use an advantage or two on the field... and that's where this bad-boy comes in... Convert NEARLY any M4A1 magazine into a compatible magazine for your M870/Super90/TriShot shotgun with the adapter! For those wondering, I'm -NOT- selling these here, sorry guys. Perhaps in the future but for now, just wanted to get some feedback, what do you think? What the hell is that thing?.... Ahhh! However, there IS a small drawback... there is a bit of wobble side to side which is easily cured with plastic spacers. Here's a video showing how much wobble there is. http://youtu.be/LGbEz3bYbWw?list=UU4...TUilHk8D1YCVAg Thoughts? So far on Facebook we have people interested and 4 players who hate the idea. I think the quote was "What kind of asinine shotgun takes a f*cking magazine, that's ridiculous, those should be pre-banned from all milsims" Guess these boys haven't ever heard of a SAIGA.

I don't run a shotgun (yet) but this makes so much sense. If you want to go through reloading shells great but if you just want to run-and-gun with a shotgun I totally see that this would come in handy!
How much does it go for? |

They sell for 6000 yen in Tokyo.

Great Idea, looks ugly.
Reminds me of people hot glueing a modified shotgun shell to a Hi-Cap mag back in the day. |

These been around for a bit.
"Salamander M4 Mag adapter." TM 870 on hpa with flash mag. Because 6 shots. TM M870 w/t HPA & Flash Mag: http://youtu.be/m57vKz9L8-8 Was debating on getting on for my breacher or springer at some point, because yes- it would save me a lot of money, considering 2 TM shells are $18 USD before shipping. I opted out for some cheaper UTG shells and see how they'll hold up (6 pack for $18). I could see how it be ideal for a springer, not so much a gas shotgun, unless you of course, HPA tap it, then you can just spam 6 shots on your TM and eat everyone alive. Neat idea, kinda degrades the classic shotgun image, but for me, I prefer loading in the shells, #classy. Last edited by BioRage; October 16th, 2014 at 17:02.. |

Same as BioRage, love the feeling of them not knowing if reload or pop their face in the frame. If I go with mag.. it's just gonna be hate with that 6shots machine! And I already collect too much hate with the 3shots with shells.

that is a good idea for holding more bbs in one load.
but something should be considered too, is that when you have more bb loaded, do you have enough gas/power source to run it? for the spring powered pump shot is fine, cause you don't have to worry about the gas, the power is coming from you, PUMP..... even if you get the AG gas stock, the most shots proved from RW in youtube video is around 80+ shots. (compare to real cap is equal to around 3 of a 30 shot mag)3 bbs each shot and totol is 240 bbs, that's one 250 round mid cap aeg mag, good or not good enough, it's up to you. personal, the main reason I love marui m870 is that, gas powered, use shells (half realistic, half practical) that hold 10 shots each, also good in shooting range. especially the breacher, that will be my favorite one for cqb, indoor game, and outdoor secondary, using scabbard to holster it, perfect.

Side note, I was thinking to gat a RS shotgun magazine, modify it into M1100, may be? That would be so complicated project. Still thinking about it deeply!

sweet jesus! I love it!
I bring my shotgun as a backup, and have had to resort to using it... unless guys are using hicaps with it, I see no issues... then again, you could slap a drum mag on and maybe make it look like a AA12 that we all desperately want lol

Yah, this'd be near the top of my addon list once I get a compatibly shotty.
Better to have the choice to not use it if I want. Location: YYZ VOR 062 radial, 17.5 DME |
