Holographic tubeless RDS

So I'm on the hunt for a good holographic tubeless RDS for a p90 TR. I am of the understanding that holographic is better than reflex (true?) but I have no clue as to whats out there in terms of good holographic open sites. Between Redwolf, eBay and numerous other retailers, I've only been able to come up with a couple of good ones (some of these are reflex too), none of which scream "sight of uber pwnage" to me...:

from Airsoft sites:

Blade Holographic Red Dot Scope

WLTHR Point Sight Mod Competiton Scope for 20mm Rail (i've heard walther is good?)

Mojji Zero Multi-dot scope (most expensive I've seen!)

G&P Polymer sight w/ mount

from eBay:

Milspex Red / Green Blade Holographic Scope (Square)

NcStar Tactical Red Dot Multi-Recticle Reflex Sight

Electro (4-Reticle) Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope

4 patterns reflex holo sight Hakko eotech red dot

Electro (4 reticle) Red Dot Reflex Sight Scope

BSA® PMDS Multi-dot Panoramic Sight

SIG SAUER 4-reticle Reflex Red-Dot Holographic Sight

Please help me choose, I have no clue what's good! :?
I'm like a kid in a candy shop.... who's never had candy before!
Can anyone lend any insight on which holographic open sights are good on the market? (the wider the aperature the better!)
Much appreciated, thanks!

The only redeeming feature of the scopes that you have picked is that they are cheap. If you want something good that will impress people, buy either an Aimpoint RDS or an EOTech holosight.

EDIT: Since you want something tubeless, just get an EOTech 552. It's MSRP is $459.00 American dollars, but I'm sure you can find it for less on ebay.

The Moji sight is great, the display is clear and bright enough to be seen even on a sunny day. The only downside to it is that it isn't truly parallax free (as with most open sights). The Walther one you have listed may not be as good - it's somewhat of an economical model. Can't say much about the others...

One issue with the open sights is that they are more prone to getting hit in the lens, so you should take care to fit some sort of lens protection on them (polycarb, lexan, etc.); unfortunately that's mostly a custom job. But luckily it's not hard to do.

Thanks for all the info guys, I had no idea those were so crappy
So the holographic advantage is not much of an advantage unless its EOtech or Bushnell?
(i.e. a $40 holographic has no advantage over a $40 reflex?)
As for the EOTech, is there one (or similar) that I could get for under $150~?

(p.s. phalanx, is there a tutorial I could read on making custom lens protectors?)

Thanks guys!

It doesnt really matter. Airsoft guns are not that accurate to require a 500USD RDS.

Eotech/Bushnell are the only real holographics. Everything else is just a reflex/red dot/point sight.

...and they work just as well, for airsoft, as the high end holographics... given you're lucky to get 5" groupings @ 50+ meters with the average airsoft gun.

(I think I'll go with a cheap reflex sight in leu of all that was said about low-end holo's)

Is the old skool C-More RDS holographic or is it just the regular dot-projector type?

Wow.. exactly how does that work? If your scope is 2/3 covered by mud or glass cracks, and the red dot appears in the upper 1/3 corner, how is that it can still remain true to its aim?

p.s. thanks for the link, after reading through that site I know now why a $50 RDS can't be truly "holographic" for that price!

Very simply, you know how you can move your head around the scope itself and still see the crosshairs? Basically if part of the sight is damaged, or covered by something (mud) you just have to look through the sight at a different angle, move your head around while looking at the sight until you can see the crosshairs, it will always be true.

Important bit:
