KJW M9 new slide safety
I just got my new metal slide for my KJW M9.
I took the internal from the damaged slide and installed them back in the new slide. I noticed that my safety switch is not working properly. It does not click into position. I think I put it back together the right way but there is something wrong. I did not notice any spring poping out or missing screws. I don't see anywhere where one could fit. One the first picture, we can see the only screw that I had to remove to take off the metal plate. I had to unscrew a little allenscrew holding the safety lever to take all that out. Under the metal plate, there is the piston and 2 springs that make it come back. That is not missing and installed back the right way. I test fired 2 shots the way it is and the gun worked well. I just don't feel confortable doing it again with a lose safety lever. I don't even know if the safety is doing it's job. anyone know what could be wrong? Tanx

You posted this a week ago, have you fixed it yet... if not...
In the second picture it looks as if the back of the safety switch (right side in that picture) it up too high. Try taking the screw out and putting the lever in the proper position (not angled, safety OFF) and then put it back together... Only thing I can think of...? Or try taking it out and put it back together again, and maybe by fluke/chance you'll put it back together right? |

in the ksc m9 there are two spring loaded metal spokes which look kinda like small mushrooms
those make it 'click' one spring/rod pair goes into a small recess in the slide on the right side of the safety the other pair is slightly larger in diameter and goes inside the actual safety switch |
