G&P M16 110Rd/VN Mags
Has anyone had a chance to use these mags? I only own the highcap that came with my m4(bought used), and I hate it. My plans for the future include an M16 VN and I figured I could kill 2 birds with one stone if I could pick up reliable mags that fit both guns. I noticed the G&P 110rd (sometimes also labled VN) mags were a good deal, $10-15 less than standard 68rd TM lo-caps.
I also heard G&P is an excellent brand, their mid-caps just need to be worked in a bit. Any comments on this from people who've been able to try these mags out? Overall if I hear good things about these mags, I can order 4-6 of them and have a nice ammo load without having to carry around like 8+ mags, use them in both guns, and save myself a whomp of cash.

G&P mags are CRAP, take it from a G&P owner. Ever mag I purchased has been nothing but trouble. A way to fix them would be to modify the head that is attached to the spring. I have TM mags now and they work very well.

G&P Midcaps.
I have 4 G&P Midcap M16 mags right now and they're amazing. I use an SR-16 with Hurricaine metal body and the magwell is tight. So tight that TM locaps get scraped up as I jam it in there and I find they don't feed well. On the other hand my G&P Midcaps fit perfectly and feed perfectly (could just be due to the metal body).
I've given up the 2 TM Lows I have for the Midcaps. Althought I don't use the slanted VN 110rds, i use the standard 130rds midcap. They work perfectly right of the box and I didn't need any working in. Plus, I like how I can carry more ammo without increasing my already bulky setup (and they dont rattle). The construction is top notch too, I think they feel better than TM cause it's a bit heavier. Best advice is to try one and see if it works well with your gun. Telkin |

I use 2 G&P midcaps in my ICS M4 RIS, and they are great. High quality construction, and the price is right. I did have feeding issues, but breaking the mag down and filing the plastic feed head at the end of the spring resolved the problem.
