Mechanix Gloves
Hello, I'm looking to buy a pair of Original Mechanix gloves but don't know what size to get.
I used their official sizing guide and I'm 1/2" past 8(Small). So should I buy Small(8) or Medium(9)? Are they pretty stretchy? |

Head to Canadian Tire, they have them available, and you can try them on. Just try the Original style, and if you don't want Black, then use that sizing to order online in the cooler colors. They are NOT stretchy*, you will have tight fingers if you're not careful. By larger than you are, never smaller.
EDIT: *They are synthetic leather, not rubberized. The back is stretchyish for comfort, but the palm and fingers are a lot less so.

I tried using their printable chart and got erroneous results; after trying some on at the store I found their sizes are the same as the common standard glove sizes.

I have tiny hands for a guy and got a medium and it fits but small would probably fit better.
Video review on them that I did you can see my hands in them so just compare: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUSv...3B82FA&index=1 |

I have a horrible time finding gloves that fit right. Went to Canadian Tire, tried on a bunch, found the ones that fit best.
See if you can get the ones with the extra rubber on the knuckles, it really help when hit in the hands.

If you want hand protection for airsoft, the best model is the MPACT-2

Either the M-Pact or M-Pact2 work great.

For that price and free shipping from China I'm willing to bet they are fakes or factory seconds or thirds. If you are interested in that model of glove you can buy the real deals at Crappy Tire and Wallymart.

They don't have tan color
How about the amazon ones: Mechanix Wear MG-72-009 Original Glove, Coyote, Medium - Amazon.com Last edited by daveyster; July 30th, 2013 at 02:41.. |

I have a set of mystery mechanix gloves from airsoftpeak.com... if they are knock offs, they still do the job fine. My guess also goes to factory seconds.

Bought 3 pairs of mechanix gloves from dealextreme, at 2 different times; all impact serie, forgot exact models
1st pair: was supposed to be black/tan. Received black and yellow. Exactly like the real deal, 30$ cheaper. Use them regularly when working/renovating around the house. Love them Second pair, black/tan, materials were the same quality from the look of it, but the black "suede/leather" dye was rubbing off somewhat. Some stitching was loose. Gave them to my brother. Third pair are mostly tan, very close to the first pair in quality, different model. All in all, getting 3 pairs for the price of one (maybe even a bit cheaper), was definitely worth it |
