Remote homemade airsoft claymore - Updated!
Airsoft claymore made from 2 rat traps (and some other craps).
Ready to fire Fired I didn't put in BBs because I don't want to get BBs everywhere in my room... But I will do an actual fire test later. Video: MVI 0779 - YouTube Now with remote control! Video: VID20131120 - YouTube

I was going to make the same thing, in a box with a pull pin though
Cool, glad to see it works as I figured.

Now make it so that there's a tripwire activated version XD
This is pretty legit for two mousetraps.

You run 1 9v for your motor and one 1 9v for the receiver. I tested this and there is more than enough power. Add in an on/off switch so you are not draining the battery when it isn't deployed.
12v is max not required. |

Currently I only used 2AA (3V) for the motor, I will try if I can use only one 9V for the receiver and the motor at the same time, should be enough power...

I have the 4 channel version (was cheapest one on dx.com) for my project. It will be gas powered with a 11.1 lipo running the receiver & 12v magnet valve. I need to machine a new body for the mag valve so I can contain the gas chamber & expansion chamber that will feed the bb tubes in a compact unit. I am hoping to get it sized to fit in a 3" abs tube about 8" long. Not sure if I should call it a mine or ied or something else. |

And the crazy part is that you can barely notice that it's homemade!

It will work, but not for very long. Best to power each off of its own power supply with on/off switches when its not in use.

I want to power the whole thing in just 1 battery so I don't have to worry about when one of them getting dry before the other one does...
