I've ALWAYS wanted to go to an Op: Irene. Did you get to meet Col. McKnight?

I never got a one on one chat with him but there's a short clip where I'm taking a knee right in front of him while he's giving a sit-rep/orders. Him and Mad Max Mullen are on the field and not just spectators. We were in a fire fight shoulder to shoulder with McKnight at one time.

Wow, looks really awesome, something to look forward to. I know it was discussed at lenght, but what did you do for your Airsoft's? Buy in the states, made a deal with customs or the devil (or both?).....

We all brought down our PTWs and legally imported/exported them both ways. Playing with rentals or purchased AEGs probably would have sucked.
There was definitely a ton of prep and organization that had to be done. Fortunately the awesome guys from Calgary took care of all that stuff, haha. I'll just make it clear now that I don't completely understand the ins and outs of getting our guns back and forth nor will I tell anyone who did it for us. I don't want my inbox or theirs to get spammed by a ton of people, sorry!

I believe the PTW's made it quite a bit easier to get them back and forth rather than regular AEG's. We shipped all of our guns and most of our gear down and we had nearly $40k in insurance for it all! We got quite the looks at FedEx with all of our crates when we were down there shipping them back to us. We had a couple people ask if we were Military or Contractors! Here's a link to a hosted picture of our guns/gear at the FedEx office when we trying to ship it back:
http://www.jocairsoft.com/forums/gal...1166-pa310043/ It definitely was an amazing experience. We all kinda felt the game scenario was the shits...or it could have been great, who knows...but comms with command sucked (like most bigs games I find...nothing get's passed down) and we had no idea of our objectives or the overall "theme" of what we were supposed to do. So we just eventually just made our own little "missions" and pushed as hard and as far as we could into enemy territory. It didn't matter what you were supposed to be doing, you felt like a bad-ass going building to building and room to room slinging plastic death!

How were the Americans? Honesty, sportsmanship, seriousness, whiney bitchness etc?
Were there a lot of tards with $200 loadouts or mainly hardcore guys? |

most of them were great, i think at an event like this most of the retards get weeded out from the cost and the general level of players that normally attend. plus its hard to tell because some guys really went all out with out they dressed, some went period kit to match the event or if they were on freedom fighters they dressed the part for sure.
