Remove ebb unit from G&G gearbox

Can't figure out how to remove the ebb unit from a G&G gearbox. The unit is preventing me from opening the gearbox. See picture below.

Slide the rear retaining plate off (it's really tight), then slide the shroud off the top that' holds the whole unit on. It'll come right off after that.

Not Glued. I have put the mechbox in a soft jawed vise and gently pound it out with a hammer & punch.
