Tokyo Marui type 89 Burst fire goes Auto.
Just bought a Tokyo Marui type 89 recently. I notice a huge airseal leak from the piston head, after the fix and once I put it back together. My 3 round burst turned into full auto! Any ideas, I know it's a rare gun, but I've seen a couple people with it.

In another video I saw,it was mentioned that it is a mechanical 3 round burst not a electronic. I would check that all the gears are clean and moving freely.

From the symptom you described, I think the small spring part which makes it 3 point burst is not placed properly, or simply crashed.
If the part(which is on outer shell of mecha-box) does not work or placed properly, 3 rounds burst is going to be full-auto.
