Brand New Gun. Piss Poor FPS...!?
So I have a new KWA G36C 2GX which, according to everything i've read, is supposed to shoot around 380.
Chrono'd it today and it shoots a whopping 112! Ive never taken apart a gearbox before, so dont really know what to look for. I can only guess its an air seal issue of some sort... Any ideas?? Thanks in advance for your responses. |

Just to reveiw;
are you sure the chrony you used is accurate? Did you have your hopup off, and did you use the right weight of BB for the settings on the black box?

Chrono is good.
I also own a VFC SR-16, and it was chronoing just fine. I Chrono'd the KWA with the Hop Up all the way off, all the way Up, with .25 bbs, with .20 bbs. VFC SR-16 .20 bbs - 365fps .25 - 310fps KWA G36C 2GX .20 bbs - 165fps .25 - 112fps |

What happens if you run it on auto instead of single.
I've heard of some odd problems with those but always when going from auto to semi. No ones ever really said for sure what the hitch is.

Well it's pretty easy to get that gearbox out, pop it and have a look.
You can also hit up this spot for advice. http://www.kwausa.com/support/ they're in California and respond within a day or so (Monday-Friday hours).

Having same problem with my ICS AK74 tried everything at least I thought I did. Split gear box open and inspected the gears,only to find a few teeth missing,take a closer look at the internals.

KWA G36s have a crappy cylinder head. Change for your choice or upgrade (Modify are nice) and it will work.
Mine was broken in the box. To see if this is the issue, field strip the gun (remove the hanguard, remove the mag well. Close the stock and remove the screw at the top holding the mechbox in. Pull down and back on the pistol grip and it will come out_ Then see if the nozzle can move in any direction except back along the mechbox lenght. If it can move side to side or up/down even slightly, that is your problem. |

KWA G36c out of the box chronoed 119 to 160 fps, removing the pistolgrip/gearbox is quick on these and my issue was very apparent

Yup - the nozzle definitely moves around. I'll see about replacing it.

the cylinder head is what you want to replace , the nozzle should be fine, although this is a good time to add any upgrades you might be thinking of seeing as you will have the mechbox open anyway
