Mag Problem
So I was using my cleaning rod to spread around the silicone oil in my mag, and now it's stuck... any ideas on how to get it out? If it's even possible without breaking the mag open

And also... WTF? Why would you do that in the first place... there needs to be oil where the BBs contact... so you can use BBs to spread the oil... |

Yeah I kinda figured that out after, I was watching a vid of a guy doing it that way and it was going fine.
I'm not sure what the brand is, they're plastic and it appears that it has glue all the way around keeping it shut This is what happens when you're new to airsoft and decide to clean and oil it while half asleep... [Edit] Ok, so I found out they're MAG mags

your only option is pull. you may be out one mag and possibly one cleaning rod but seeing as their mag brand thats like $15 total, so no real big.

pull the BB retention tab on the top of the mag back and then pull.

I've already tried pulling it, to me it seems like the spring managed to wrap it's self around the cleaning rod or something, cause if i push the rod down, the spring doesn't pop it back up, and i literally can't seem to pull it out, even using full strength

Put it this way, I held the mag and my step dad pulled the cleaning rod, didn't budge one bit

Well, if theres not much else you can do to try to get it out, toss it?
Really the only option if its legitimately stuck.

You can remove the spring from the base and see if it helps without the tension.
Other than that... theses mags cost 5$ each... not that big of a sacrifice. |
