a bit of advice

Hey guys just got a bit of a dilemma on my hands.

I have an HFC mac11 that requires a new hop up bucking. The only place I can possibly seem to find that has them is evike.

See my dilemma? Evike doesn't have the best reputation but I don't want my gun just sitting here out of commission.

Does anyone know of a website that I can order HFC parts, this is the only part thats not interchangable with its sister brands *KSC/KWA*.

If I do have to order from Evike has anyone found a good way to deal with them? Via phone, email? or is it just a shot in the dark hope you see your part.

I searched Google for an hour looking for the part. All I found was it is part number 39, and that NO ONE has been able to obtain one from ANY airsoft company out there, minus Evike.

I say this is one of those only times you should buy from Evike, its going to cost $20 tops, which isn't a big loss. Hopefully it will make it.

lol I already have a complete parts gun sitting here but the hop up is in the same condition. The gun works but I have to keep dumping oil into the breach because of the extra friction the hop up puts on the BB. Sometimes it can't even push the BB out. Its split right at the screw.

I wonder if I could mod a KSC hop up to work on a HFC.

If you have one its worth a try, maybe you will be one of the first to actually solve this problem

This might be interesting but I just did a search and it looks like HFC has just disappeared off the face of the earth.

"Ho Feng Corporation" is the full name and they seem to be a subsidiary of "Ho Feng Industry Co. Ltd." based out of Taipei (Taiwan). The website is non functioning (www.hofeng.com.tw).

See for yourself:
http://ttma.asiansources.com/MEMBERS/83016.HTM

Note at the bottom of the page the products they make includes Air B.B. Guns, Gas B.B. Guns which leads me to believe this is a parent company to HFC.

ALSO. And this is BIG. But HFC seems to be affiliated with SRC (Star Rainbow Company) in some way. I'm not sure how (maybe one of the owners or something owned HFC from before or it's a shoot off company with engineers leaving and starting their own company) but it's probably worth checking out deeper.

In short probably useless information but it might be worth checking out that lead and seeing if SRC may possibly have a hop up that works with HFC. Or you know, go the easy route and order from Evike but be prepared to threaten chargebacks (make up some form letters threatening chargebacks or something) if you don't get your shit.

stop putting oil in there. it has likely engorged it and that why it's so tight. I had a USP compact recently that wouldn't cycle. BB's got stuck because the owner over oiled it and the hopup rubber soaked it all up. it was fat. when I finally tracked down a new one (KSC rubber was hard to find Jugglez rescued me and managed to get a bunch) it fit and cycled like a dream.

with regards to evike, I made an order there for a small part. got my tracking number and this is what it still reads:

I think evike gave up shipping to Canadians all together.

If there was way, we should all head down to Cali and stir some mayhem up at their local store. Teach those bastards to mess with ASC's proud & awesome citizens

yah I got a guy up here that gets stuff shipped via Evike to a place i the US. so the hop up is inbound. The hop up is the ONLY thing that is different between the two brands. go figure.
