Ordering direct from Magpul?
Hi guys,
Just wondering has anyone order directly from Magpul's website? I know there are complications and restrictions importing airsoft and guns into Canada from US, but what about accessories? For example if I were to order a rifle stock from Magpul, would customs hold the damn thing? Thanks for letting me know. |

I've done a few orders from Magpul. What you want to do is order whatever you want, have it sent to a UPS store just across the border, then drive across, pick it up and bring it back. Works like a charm and you don't have to miss out because some dumbass decided a slither stock is ITAR.

Ignore me and listen to EX and Kokanee, they both have considerably more experience with Real Steel then I ever will and I trust in their knowledge. I was mistaken.

I am not looking to import any ammunition, magazines etc. Only a Magpul PTS butt Stock from the Magpul website just to be clear, and maybe a grip. So is it true that ALL Magpul items are restricted? Even accessories? Find it kinda hard to believe... What if I just want a stock to look at? heheheh I mean, its plastic and polymer. |

There is conflicting info because not everyone is up to speed.
Very simply yes, even accessories like a stock fall under ITAR regulations and are export restricted from the US. If you wanted a tshirt or something maybe Magpul would fire one off to you, but you'll have to call them to arrange it. If you want any weapon goodies then you need to follow the steps I've outlined above. I am not speaking out of my ass, this is the deal, end of story. See what you've gone and done Rugger? Confused the poor noobie. |

This makes for a very good point here. IF you don't know all the facts PLEASE do not post, all it does is confuse people and causes problems and 10 page threads of conflicting and just plain wrong info. Sorry Rugger you pulled the trigger a bit too quick on this one mate. Make safe and move to the safe zone

I think if my order is held, there could be a chance my name will be entered in the black-list as well, although I'm not too sure but not taking the chance. Also, No worries Rugger. |

Cool...You will not be able to order period so the question is moot regardless. IF you want to order RS Magpul stuff go to the Canadian Dealer WOLVERINE SUPPLY and order your stock.

I think the logic in the US is that while a T-shirt isn't restricted if someone makes a mistake and drops a no-go item into an export order then Magpul gets fried on the US side. Safe vs. sorry policy.

Just to stir the waters a bit, I ordered one of the DVD sets from Magpul directly last year and got it. Took almost 3 months but eventually received it. So for some things like t-shirts, videos and such you can probably order directly but do what ex and Kokanee said for your best bet.
