Mounting/Wearing a Thermobak

I just became the proud owner of an ACU 3 liter Camelbak 'Thermobak' and was wondering about the various ways to wear/mount this hydro carrier with Plate carriers. I'm currently using a CIRAS so any help on how to properly wear or mount said hydro carrier would be appreciated.

I actually wear mine over it. When the strap/s finally snaps then i will most likly sew/weave the strap/s into the molle.

I went with Grimlocs to hang a Camelback on my gear.

Zipties work very well for a tight, wobble free fit.

Nothing worst than going prone and having a full camelback pushing on the back of your neck.

You can either wear it over the armor, which allows for easy refilling without removing your whole rig, or as mentioned just stow the straps and 550 or ziptie the D-Rings to the PALS webbing (and get a buddy to refill you).

Or you can...attach a hydro carrier to your vest?

The carrier being the sleeve for your Camelbak...

Lerch is right. Those carriers are designed to properly attach to the back of modular vests, just like a ciras. Here are some examples http://ascmart.ca/index.php?cPath=1_6

I wear mine in a Condor #HCB2: Hydration Carrier II, I fit it with the MOLLE directly to the back plate on my plate carrier, I like the pocket on the pack, let's you carry extra BBs, batteries...

For a lighter loadout I fit it in ragular Blackhawk Camelback Carrier...

Cheers

pull the rear foam panel and drop the bladder inside. I know this doesn't help you mount/wear the pack but it's an option.
