Going to buy G&G sig?
Hey, Right now I own a ics sig 552. I have these parts/there on there way now. ICS sig top rail, ICS full metal foam grip, SRC Short style silencer, ICS Sig cheek rest. and G&G acog scope is what I have now. And I have a ICS SiG 552 R.I.S/M.R.S quad rail tactical handguard coming. Should be here in june.
Anyway I'm going to Adrenaline paintball to (Pre-order/put one aside for me when they come in) a G&G SiG 552 or 553, I like the 553 alot more look wise, So I think thats the one I'm going with. Does anyone know anything that makes one gun better then the other or anything like that? I want the G&G 553 becuase i have a 552 now and I need a sniper. I think that will work perfect due to the flip up sight. And the only accesories I will need right away are a 100 - 200 scope and another ICS metal foam foregrip. Anyway please discuss. Thanks for reading, Lucas. |

The 553 is mainly an updated 552 with slightly upgraded furniture.* The G&G 553 is the LB (long barrel) version, meaning it probably has a slightly longer inner barrel and different porting on the cylinder. In airsoft, barrel length rarely have much to say. It's rather the quality of the inner barrel and hop-up that matters, and of course how you tune the gun (and obviously FPS). If you want a gun that could be sniper IRL, you would have to go for the SIG 550. That's the SIG that has the longest effective range of the RealSteel SIGs. If realism doesn't matter to you, the 552 could be just as good a sniper, as the 553 and 550.
* For the RS version, the 553 makes use of the 550 and 551 recoil spring and charging handle. The upgraded recoil spring makes it more reliable. The version G&G chose to manufacture, is the LB version. As far as I know the effective range is pretty much the same as the 553 SB and 552, but it can fire rifle grenades or support a bayonet. It also has flip-up iron sights and integrated top rail.

ICS makes a LB barrel kit for their 552 and 551 series, it includes the long barrel, inner barrel, and a SIG-specific bipod that attaches to the bayonet lug. VERY nice looking, and its super cheap. Check evike, I think I saw it there.
