Sling M4 to tac vest
Looking for advice on how to use a sling or something akin, to attach my M4 to the front of my tac vest. Want it hanging hands-free at chest level -- for quick lift to eye level...
It has a half-round ring on top of each shoulder -- I was envisioning clipping a sling of some kind to those? Was thinking of a visit to huangs -- what should I be asking for? Thanks guys |

heres what your after
http://www.cpgear.com/StoreBox/slings/8009.htm I built one myself. but these arn't that pricey as far as quality slings go. I modified a single point bungy to clip in on both sides and hang centre of mass.

What you want is a variation of the 1 point sling
Here is another example of the generic 1 point https://www.sealsactiongear.com/cata...?idProduct=622 This is kind of what you described, there are other ones on the market as well, I just can't remember the product name. Pretty sure it's been discussed on the forum before though. http://www.oneshottactical.com/Merch...ry_Code=SL-BFG Last edited by -Skeletor-; March 21st, 2010 at 13:06.. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Just make sure the sling goes around your neck, and moves through your vest so it's no chafing your neck. If you just have it attached on the front its just going to drag the front of your vest down. Not comfortable lol

If you make one be sure to put some sort of quick-release into it.
Also keep in mind that a sling is for retention during secondary transitions or manipulating things two-handed, its not for carrying the weapon! -Grant |

And make sure your rifle will hang in a way that it does not fall over your sidearm.
Musle not bumping your knees is a +, but a price to pay sometime.
