I guess this would be off topic, but following a sub-topic within the thread.

Well, I must say I have only shot about 1000 rounds and have already found a *Brain. It was a lucky find as it was the last BB to into a mag from a speed loader. I have a pic of mine that I will pop up later.

Am I to understand that damage could happen because of *Brains? to rip the hop-up bucking, dust up the hop-up or barrel?

I wonder if MetalTech extends the same *Warranty for *Brains. I doubt I would reach out for the offer as I know that manufacturing process of such small items cannot be perfect and that these annomolies will happen. I got me an albino chipmunk brain.

I am looking forward to when BB Bastards are available and picking up a few bags. I have been buying MetalTech .25g @ $0.0067 per BB and BB Bastards look to be $0.005 per BB from ASC, before shipping. Is there anybody on the West Coast/Vancouver that is a distributor or BB Bastards?

Brains are generally surface imperfection only and are always slightly smaller in diameter than a regular BB, so there is little to no chance for it to mess up your feedpath or gun. I just got the two from Spawn28 and one of them is about 40% brainy and the other one has some dark streaks and is borderline brain - I'm honoring both of them with free bags of course but neither one of these would damage a gun - if you shot 5000 of them all at once? Yeah, you'd probably chop a little and need to clean your gun, but, it would have to be seriously brainy (80% all around perhaps) and they happen so rarely there is little chance of that.

Congrats to Spawn28.

Brain BBs are pretty much unique I think due to BB Bastards manufacturing process. I've never heard of any other brand having them.

LOL, thats most everyone's reaction. I want to get a really good one with 360 degrees of brain and then encase it in clear resin and put it on my desk. I even asked my manufacturer if they could make me one, and they couldn't. They really are one of a kind...

Nothing wrong with Bastards but during one of the shortages I got some Madbulls and they've worked great in everything I have so I haven't had to buy anything else since.

I've tried a variety of brands, and have only really stuck with metal tech bb's. BB bastard just doesnt have good consistency when it comes down to it. Plus the price and deals that MT has, you cant beat em.

Bought some MT off Amos back at Claybank and never again will I use them with a tight bore. Too random for my vsr's 6.01. BBbastards are the only brand that go threw it without jamming every so often. The only time I use the MT is in the grenades to use them up lol.

Yea.. ALOT of people were having trouble with the MT BB's... It's a shame that their customer service and everything is so great while their product is so poor.

Although I don't 100% blame the jamming problems people were having on MT BB's.. the environment was SUPER dusty and I know that was causing a couple problems for a few people (I cleaned their barrel and they didn't have anymore problems with the MT BB's)

But... Yea, I sadly wont be selling MT BB's anymore I need a product that works 100% of the time... ALL the time!

No worries at all man. The MT's run great threw my MP5 and tornado its only a friends P90 and my VSR-10 both with 6.01-6.02. The only time I have issues with them is when I have any thing with a tightbore on it. Other then that they work well enough for stock guns by all means. I use them when we rent out guns and give out ammo.

How often and what cleaning process do you use for your VSR?

I was firing them just fine through my PDI 6.01 in my VSR...

The biovals were designed with tight bores in mind. chopping and jamming are drastically reduced.

it's funny how the subject of this thread changed so dramatically.

As for me, I say BB bastards are the way to go, except when the whole country doesn't have 1 single bag in stock. :-(
