Flagraiders does not offer "airsoft" per se. They allow airsoft organizers to host on their fields. They do not own, rent, maintain or distribute AS equipment, nor do they really over see the games.

They may allow paintball for youngins but have nothing to do with airsoft age limits.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yep. Just a guy who gave me some bad info and mistook "airsoft" for "paintball"...god knows how he did that...

Just because Flag Raider's insurance policy allows players as young as 10 years old, it does not mean that airsoft game organizers allow 10 year olds to play. Keep in mind, that the game organizers are seperate entities from Flag Raiders, and only host their games through Flag Raiders.

Ahh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. You know, right know I think the best route that I could take would be to purchase a cheap paintball gun (Tippmann A-5 or something like that) and just play with that until I can play airsoft. I mean, I still got another year until I'm 16 and another three until I'm 18 so I might as well. Do you know where I could sell it after I was done?

Could you guys recommend me a paintball gun? They seem pretty expensive and I have no idea which ones are good. So far I've looked at these four:

Thanks!

Not really.

Again, your BEST bet is to get your parents involved. They will be made aware of all the laws and issues about airsoft. Ownership (and where they can be used legally) are some of those issues.
DId you say you were near Ottawa? If yes, please complete your profile, and then just do yourself the huge favor of going to one of the active fields in the area like the Foxden or the LZ with one or both of your parents.

You will not regret it, they will understand what it's about, and that will eventually reward your patience IF you dont cut corners.

Nobody here tells you to be patient just to annoy you. We say this so you can fully enjoy this game when the time comes.

I'm actually in Toronto (Oh, and I'm not annoyed, you guys have been great ) and I'm trying to get my dad to realize that the sport is safe if you wear proper safety gear but he's having a hard time accepting that. I'll keep trying though. Sadly, anytime my parents hear the words "Game (as in Video)", "gun" and "danger" they refuse to have much, if anything, to do with it.

Go to your User Control Panel and add your city, that will solve those questions.

K, I updated. I also worked out the cost of all the gear to play paintball with, but also the PPG (price per game). It would be pretty bad financially and I don't think that I have enough money. I decided to just buy a cheapy little spring pistol from buyairsoft.ca. I've worked it down to these three:

Problem is, I'm not sure which ones are good. The Sig Sauer shoots pretty hard, but the Colt has a laser. Anyways, I think that one of these would be great for me just to fool around with until I can play airsoft.

Just to recap, the hosts I play with usually would require your dad to play as well. For legal and other issues.

And that would require me to be 16 also, right?

^If answered "Yes" to above.
Damn, my dad's never going to play airsoft, he hates anything to do with weapons.

You might as well buy these type of guns from Walmart/Canadian Tire, 'cause when you'll realise how bad they are at least you stand a chance to get your money back.

If your parents won't play with you, forget about airsoft, and rent paintball with friends.
