What, you get hit with an improper subnet, or get erroneously filtered by a firewall?

Development is going very well. I passed a major milestone today with a new model. Same operating principles that I've been working with the last one, but with parts which are much more manufacturable. The last one was a good functional proof of concept, but it was a fussy thing with too many parts. I'm at something which is pretty close to a manufacturable design now. Development is far enough that it's time to push through patent filings and talk to injection mould makers.

Unfortunately I won't be making any public releases until moulds are nearly completed. I really don't like long product launches. They can become a disappointing fizzle if I run into technical difficulties like moulding difficulties which set back release dates a month or so. I really don't like engineering to a deadline set by marketing.

I'm giddy with excitement because this is a very close look at the final build. No idea when it'll be ready, but I expect moulds to take at least 6wks to machine not to mention I have to raise the finances to start them.

i completely agree what scarecrow stated on the first page.
inexpensive
one time use
durable enough to throw and not have it fall apart on impact

re-useable grenades are typically expensive and a hassle to find after throwing, not to mention they can get STOLEN, it's aggrivating enough losing mags.
the Lance co grenades have so far been the best I've seen, they didnt spread BBs very well but they're still the best for effectiveness (if it lands in a bunker or vehicle your all dead anyway)

Still chugging along. Functional prototypes are working well, but I'm making refinements for manufacturability.

I'm not really able to go this route. Disposable, effective, and no pyro are strongly conflicting requirements. It's pretty difficult to make something which is cheap enough to be disposable yet still effective without the use of explosives. Throw in rugged as a requirement and you've got something pretty tough to deliver. I am not pursuing pyro devices as they fall under hazmat definitions so they're difficult to ship, export, and store. I'm not pursuing ineffective disposable grenades as well, I hate ineffective junk.

Really the key difficulty is making something effective and cheap enough to be single use without pyro.
