It was a clear one, but i painted it (no importance at all anyway ahaha).
So, i guess i would be better to old a real good airsoft M4 before telling i'm very comfortable. Well, M4, G36 and SCAR are the 3 models i will choose from. But which one ? Well, i'll look at more reviews and i will finally buy the one fits me better at first ! |

I have several of the types in question -a G36 (full size; CA), a G36c (KWA), an M4 (CA), and a WE SCAR. Speaking strictly from a comfort standpoint (performance/reliability/quality notwithstanding -just how easy it is to shoulder, carry, and move around the field), I'd rate them in this order: 1: G36 (full size) 2: G36c 3: SCAR 4: M4 The above is 100% my own opinion, based on my own tall height and scrawny frame, and will be different for everyone. The full size G36 is more awkward than the smaller guns but not being metal it doesn't weigh much and I like having the longer front end to rest on things. The G36c feels bigger than the M4 when shouldered. It really isn't, but it feels that way. I personally like the way the SCAR falls to the shoulder more than the M4. The G36 and M4 are bother really solid choices. You honestly can't go wrong with either. Lots of available parts and aftermarket support. Another way to help decide is to think about what kind of role you want to play and what kind of kit you want to have. G36 magazines are awkward -they're large and the tabs catch on things. Require a double-STANAG mag pouch for one G36 mag. M4 mags are also a lot cheaper and easier to come by. If you plan on playing a DMR, counter-sniper, or longer ranged primarily outdoor role a full size G36 is the better option. However if you like being up close and moving around quickly in confined spaces you WILL find the G36 awkward and the carbine is a better choice. The G36c is similar to the M4 in this regard, but has the aforementioned bitch mags. Someone will likely bring up the G36 magwell conversions to take M4 mags... they are really hit-and-miss, and unless you have a gun that takes STANAG mags kindof a waist of money IMO in case the mags don't feed. In conclusion, go to a game and check out some kit. It will make your decision easier. 99% of the airsofters I know would have no issue whatsoever helping you find the right gun if you asked to examine their equipment.

For the role, i dont know the exact term, i guess assault LOL ! But i like to be on the front, or covering. And '' assault rifle '' is what i always use.
For G36 serie, i was looking at the G36K, the most beautiful variant of G36 .. IN MY point. So i was planning to get this one, if i finaly decide to buy a G36 serie AEG. And yep, i heard about G36 mag This is what M4 was also tempting me. And also because i know a lot this gun and i feel comfortable now with it. Well, its a harder choice then I thought to chose my first gun ahah ! |

The K is a good compromise. Personally I'm not a fan but, but hey whatever works.

No direct experience. I've heard the bodies are amount the best. Don't know if they have a proprietary mechbox or standard v3 in their g36 series.

Well, if you compare the CA G36K and the Ares G36K, which is the best ?

To the OP:
I just got into airsoft last season and I bought a CA SCAR and to this day I regret not being told to buy a KWA M4. I've since sold my SCAR and couldn't be happier with my M4. The take down of a M4 and its' gearbox, even if you need to watch a video for help, is about the easiest thing once you've done it a few times and if anything should break, there are a million replacement parts on hand. I would personally avoid a G36 because they have annoying issues with selector plates and you can't run simple M4 mags in it without an adapter. G36/SCAR midcaps are much more expensive than M4 mags, another thing you might want to consider. But I highly recommend you get a KWA M4. |

ares has proprietary internals + fast spring change and the externals are 10/10 its about what you want man as for mags. if you get the battleaxe converter for *I THINK* 40$ it installs in SECONDS and you can use m4/m16 mags which are better. i have a battleaxe on my ca g36 and it works as good as any AEG on our field
