Because Sportline series has inferior quality and internals. Even when you get a compete new box (and you will, trust me) the rest of the gun is not even decent quality. The whole point and reason people buy CA is cause it has good internals coupled with a Metal body Included. You take away the metal body, replace the excellent Externals with crappy plastic, and craptacularize the internals, then whats the point of buying CA? why not get Jing Gong or another lower chinese brand?

The point of CA guns is to get a solid gun out of the box with minimal work required.

Saves you hundeds in getting a metal body and the internal are great, even stock out of the box.
Its not a builders gun, its a solid and economic solution for the majority of airsofters out there.

If you want to customize and upgrade, you may as well do it piece by piece.

Once you get your AV, check some of the retailers, I know one of them currently has a BNIB CA M14, I've enver had any experience with the CA M14s though. MP5s are easy to find both used and new

Believe it or not guys, I've actually decided on neither the M14 or MP5. After much browsing, I'm actually set on the KWA MP7. GBB really appeals to me, and I like the MP7. Eventually when I run into more money I will probably pick up an M14 because I do love it to death, and eventually a sidearm, but I think the MP7 will be good to start out with.

I went and got AV'd today, hopefully that will go through soon and I can check out the classifieds!

I watched a few reviews, but comments/feedback on the KWA MP7? I'm all ears.

(:

Gbb's are really nice to fire, just be aware that as a GBB you will have performance issues during colder days/nights. Most likely your gbb will not function at all during winter games, and if it does, youll only get off a few rounds from the entire mag.

Not trying to deter you, just making sure you know what your getting into.

Good luck and happy gaming.

Yea I am much more familiar with the set up of a GBBR coming from a paintball background. The moving parts and maintenance will not be a problem and I am aware of the winter situation, thanks for looking out for me though. Are the KWA MP7s rare/hard to come across? I will browse myself once my AV status changes within the next 2 weeks, but I am just curious if anyone knows off the top of their head.

I've never seen one on sale on classfields; could just be me though.
