I've often found myself at work wearing a standard 3m construction lid and have had many joking conversations with my colleagues about coming in with a tactical helmet with a home made safety vest cover. looks a lot better than I imagined it would. good job Conker.

Ps, Where do you volunteer? I've always been interested in helping out with natural disasters, but never knew, or should I say never bothered looking into how to get into it.

I'd assume some paramedic or firemens course would be a good step?
I have an opportunity to work for a vac truck company that does HAZMAT stuff, just not sure if that's a direction I'd like to go.

That's a great SAR hat. If there was any high angle stuff back east id be all over it. Don't really have a job that let's me do SAR while im in the west. Would make a good cap for white water rafting though

I'm not a super hispeed pararescue ninja rapelling from an SR71 going Mach3 at 100' above the Everest :P

That's mainly searching for lost individuals in the woods or along a river, sometimes finding a plane crash and stuff like that. Nothing more. The helmet is a requirement to make sure we are visible to each other so we don't become the ones who need being rescued

I'm joining Recherche et sauvetage Québec-métro but it's strictly local; start there to find one in your area: http://www.nss.gc.ca/site/SARLinks/index_e.asp

Of course that'd be good, however at this level, this is absolutely not necessary. Most people (at least around here) are retirees looking to stay active and be helpful to their communities.

I've had 6 of those PMs in 2 weeks, shit's getting old fast. Most are offering major lowball offers too

99.9 percent of Airsofters are cheap and/or broke... and too lazy to properly find out how much stuff really costs.

Wow conker, that is very awesome. This is definitely something ill be copying you one for when I am doing photography on the field and I had been planning on doing some volunteer S&R too, once I finish up my CF training and get a stable posting. I figure its a good step up from the years of being a lifeguard/Medical First Responder.

Is there an Adventure Lights dealer in Canada that will sell me the VIP strobe if I provide them with Mil/LE credentials? Cost?

Skeletor's link should work. You'll need MIL ID for the IR products. The non-IR variants can be purchased by the general public.

So, there are my brainbuckets. Cause I have alot of shit to pay, I dont have the budget for real helmet so, here's my poor replica helmets.

MICH 2001*
NVS flip mount*
Surefire hlemet light
MS-2000 strobe light

Fast Helmet ballistic*
Norotos 3-hole*
Mount set for Ops rail*
Identified Cyalume Stick Patch
IR Tan Canadian flag patch
A-sthan flag patch
MS-2000

Just start this afternoon new paintjob on both helmet. Will try a woodland marpat/snake skin paintbjob. More pics to come.

Are those MS2000 real? If no, add the * too
Also, just FYI it's a replica of the FAST Carbon and not Ballistic

I'd rather have the Norotos on the MICH and VAS on the OpsCore

@ Conker: MS-2000 and Surefire light are reals, and thanks for the tips on the Fast!

@ Mr.Hitman: I know the Norotos should be on the MICH, but I prefer the look on the Fast Helmet.
