Personally I don't *mind* hicaps (I have three for my MP5s, but also have midcaps and locaps which I use all the time) but I have a hard time trusting them. First time I went to Op:Quick Pass (2005) I only had 4 TM locaps (200rds total) and one hicap (200rds) to do the day with, and considering the large size of the field (must be roughly 800m between bases at the most), reloading was always a long drawn out affair (add in the extremem wind and ranges, being effective on semi is pretty useless). I found my hicap jammed on me halfway through, and only had locaps to rely on. A few days later I took my hicap apart, found a single grain of sand stuck between the gear teeth had caused the problem. It worked perfectly after that, but since then I've avoided as much as possible using my highcaps (although I will loan them to players that are MP5 mag limited, one bud of mine only has two midcaps).

I fit very well into milsim scenarios, enjoy them a lot, but I'm not anal about realistic ammo loadouts like some. I've always shot 28rd mags the same as I do hicaps.

Like, nothing more hypocrytical than...."hey, look at my bad ass gear and untra realistic gun, not only does it sound like a sewing machine when it goes into action, but listen to me rattle and wind as I manuvour like a bad ass...."
I don't like Hi caps! But I love my P90 Box mag! and it does sound like a sewing machine. A Singer Sewing machine. I have Hi caps for the 7331 Commando as well as 10 Star mags. But I don't have any super hot gear, I'd sell it off my back at a game if I did. LOL
Cheers

I like 120rnd midcaps, but maybe thats because that all I can get for my PTW...

I hate STAR mags. I could never get more than 31-32rnds in em meaning the 3 that my hopup eats reduces me to 28-29rnd mags, less than a real mag. Also I find that my STAR mags would jam so often they where useless, often every other mag would jam half way through even when lubed.

When using normal AEG's I was always an advocate of lowcaps, 50-80rnd mags. Just personal opinion, don't really outright hate other mag types.

Plus reloading is very fun...especially when you slam a mag home just in time for a kill

Well, support gunner is a bit different, you need at least 200 rounds. I just hate people that have an assault rifle, use it in an assault rifle role, except sit there and hold the trigger down for 50-75 rounds, wait two seconds, then do it again. It really spoils the atmosphere when everyone but a few people use lowcaps.

I remember one game I played where everyone on my team used low/midcaps, and everyone on the other team used highcaps (most of them had G36's, so they used duel highcaps). The game was fun, but yea... not that fun.

Depends on the gun I guess. I only use TM G36 magazines, and when I bought them, needed them right away. The only supplier in Canada that had them at the time was Xtreme-Tactics, and his price was $65 a piece. So with shippng, that's almost $300 for four mags, which brought me to a grand total of 250 rounds, about the same as a typical $70 high-cap. On the other hand, had I bought a cheaper brand without the fake bullets, I would have paid about $100 for four mags. But again, it depends on the brand of gun, and the brand of magazine.

Hehe, yeah and then you have a change to use your secondary! Yay pistols. I had a recent game where I had mine loaded up with 24 BB's, charged full of gas, and never fired a shot out of it the entire game. . But I have an LMG so generally I had a hicap in. But I still would have liked to use it.

Sidearms....that's another good point....

Why the fuck carry one if you're going to cheat and use hicaps?
