Since some border agents started making up their own rules? Or maybe from some government official who is just as confused as us on the topic of airsoft guns.

4 day weekend ftw!

Nah, I'll just wait until I'm added to the age verified list then buy from classifieds...that way I know I'll get what I pay for.

OR you take orders from all your crackhead buddies and tell them the more things we get in this order the cheaper it will cost me to bring them up. Also talk to your local indoor field to see if they want any guns then figure out gas costs and how ever much you want commission for driving for the 5-10 hour trip. And Either do the trip every month or 2, or say, Once i get X items ordered i will make a trip.
You will get GREAT business as people like spending 100-200 more then in the states Vs Spending 500 more from a retailer.

Well, think about it guys. Lets say the store is about 600 miles away from your home, thats about roughly 200$ (for gaz, there and back).

Now you buy an AEG running anywhere from 300-400$, you're at 550$. Add the 15% on top of that (82$), your at 632$.

Most of us can buy a used (or a new, depending which one) AEG along with some mags for that price.

As i said, it depends which one.

TM MP5SD6, in the states will cost around 255$, now add 280$ (gaz and 15%) it'll cost you 535(if they have any instock).

Now a new one here would cost around 400$

At any rate, until something gets inked on official paper, this is all wild fantasy...

You should really read. The FIRST POST.

Sweet, your store is only 2 hours from me.
Friend of mine tried bringing across a type 96. It was seized, so it's still a gamble.

I might add that --I-- was that friend. It was in it's original box (although the name on the box was a weird german name), and the box was located in the trunk area of my Pontiac Vibe.

Do all of you who feel like taking a chance really want to follow the unwritten advice of a single CBSA employee?
Plastic body probably means 'clear'. Cost of fetching plus duty equals or comes close to prices we can get here already.
All a lot of IF and MAYBE in what was said by the CBSA person.
When a person who does not have the right to dictate policies gives advice and refuses to put it in writing, I see huge warning flags.

If you also read what was said; attitude and appearance would be a factor. If you are young, under 18 even worse, your chances of not getting checked become close to non-existant. Even if you are nice.

Then the person checking you out may have a bad day, or may be new and sticking to the 'book' and 'rules' Warchild was shown but got no copies of.

Too much uncertainty.

One more thing; if many start trying this AND get caught, what happens to the status of airsoft for legitimate importers and the rest of us? Do we get dinged with more problems/costs due to the sudden rise of visibility on CBSA's radar?

I'd really like to hear the opinion of one of our Retailers about this.

Until then, get legal stuff in writing guys. That's how you protect yourself from tons of grief.
