the price is impossible to gauge at this point but the thread about "how much would you pay for a grenade" was usefull. i now know that between 30 and 50 would be acceptabe and i will be working within those numbers. as for the appealing part i defenitly want to make it look like an HE grenade. giving it that "tin can" look.

Step one make a pin ya pull(and an optional catch(I have a system I have desined and testedthat works with and with out catch)). Keep it in its aerosol can and make it disperse baking flower. Yes the stuff you cook with. The bottom of the grenades final put a ring of red tape about 1/4 inch from the bottom.

I would love to help cause I cant seam to find any he grenades.
we should get together, i would love too see your ideas. as you san see the method of pierceing is rather rough an uncontrolled. this is an area which i do not have alot of experience in. perhaps you couls show/suggest some proper parts that are cheap and easily available.

p.s. i find corn starch works best because you can get it wet and it comes off no prob, it would be hilarious to see someone who got hit with one on a rainy day looking like an uncooked loaf of bread from all that flower.

airsoft hurts balls

P.S. : Each time I hear about airsoft mines I think one thing : WHAT ABOUT MY BALLS! I mean does every one think that having a device that throw bbs vertically at you when you step on it is safe. (if I'm completly wrong please tell me)
i always thought that you could nix the pellet idea all together and go with straight powder. that way nobody has to sacrifice their next kid for a couple of hours of fun

my pin and catch system (roughly tested) is not much different from yours. in fact i can teach you how to make the pin part easy.

step one shave down top of nail.
step two find a tip caped tube that nail fits in and spring(when pin is pulled spring fires nail into co2 cartridge)
step 3 drill holes in both parts so that another nail can slide in(make sure its big enough nail you can put a hole in it and hang in on a key chain) this nail you have just found will become your pin pop a hole on it put it on a key ring and blunt the tip flat

for the catch you will need a bigger Base nail you grind a ring in nail about 5 mm enough for something to lock inside this ring you just cut

Code:
hole here

\/
should look something like that note the grove doesn't need to be that big just big enough you could place a peace of sheet metal in and it will stop the nail from firing like the pin dose

if you can make your nail on a lathe then make it more like this it makes for a smother release

Code:
hole

\ /

\ /
 \/
for the most part when pin is pulled the nail tries to force past the metal tab on the catch

once you have the nail ready make a half way threw on the housing cover on the top of the housing cover make it so that there's something to catch on and hold an Axel that unless held in place would fly off

now find another spring(its used to drive the catch off)

once you got that spring out of sheet metal make a rib bone design that has an Axel bar on the top of it and a tab that will lock in the grove

solder on the spring heavy on the solder and there you have it an optional catch unit dont wanna use the catch just dont put it on

also you will need to devise a way to make it so the pin will lock the catch as well

that's the part i didn't get to was field usable locks for catch

o ya for 360 dust cloud fill a plastic zip lock with powder
then blow it up close it and pop it
after you have done that figure out how to do that with a co2 cartridge and it will create a dust cloud

ok i put the copper sheath on it, it works ok but it needs more holes and a re-inforced stopcatch. as the pressure has literally bent it.

i have lots of new video i will post tonight

pics of the sheath

well the sheath is kinda shitty as there are not enuf holes in it. i will drill more soon and test it. for now heres what it looks like so far. just dont forget this is very a very basic, rough around the edges (literally too) and oversized version of what i hope will come in the future.

Unfortunately I sold a lot of them to paintball players attached to compression pop pipes.(that's why they called them) They were used as a sort of paint ball trip mine.

But not like any of mine would work with your system they need to be custem tailored to fit.

And mine were made with a lathe.

Where abouts you live and do you have a lathe?
Its easier on a lathe.

feel free to answer the questions in a privet message.
And so you know I made my trigger units in shop class at school. They were for co2 racers. Well the original design. Thats why the catch is hard to make have to talor the catch to the trigger.

well, yesterday marked the end of this design. as i broke it revealing some major design flaws. i also feel this design would be much better as a claymore style mine anyway. i am putting this design on the backburner until i get my next design ready. i have ultra simplified it and will post drawings later. as for now im gonna keep my idea under wraps until its ready or at least until i have something to show. thanks for all the support. i have learned a great deal from this simple little project.

You should design a sticker stating that it is not a real grenade so you avoid any trouble

Make it yellow with black writing, and add the statement of "Please wear safety glasses within the radius of [insert range here]"
