If a person was to buy airsoft guns in HK, would they be able to bring it back to America/Canada? Or does Customs only let parts through?

A small part of my family lives in HK and I wouldn't mind visiting them/the airsoft stores.

as with the airsoft laws of Canada, you cannot import a full metal AEG unless you have a Replica Fire Arms licence for purpose of movie props or something of that sort, You can import into the US though but you would required to have an orange tip. The stores there will add an orange tip for you, if you tell them that you want to have it shipped to the US. And usually yes parts only usually let through
