So they ended up NOT fixing the mag vent design, I am greatly disappointed.

Something missing from the video. What is the input pressure for the HPA tank? They have 750ps, 550psi, and 450psi. The 750psi will have the highest recoil but loses regulation below 750psi.
The manual asks for an input of 800 PSI, that's what most tippmann/ co2 friendly guns work best at. it will likely work fine at 600 as well, but, be snappyer at 800.

I don't think the mag venting will be that big of a deal , the gun is so cool and fun that it will be worth it.
someone will come up with a constant air option pretty quick and we will all be using AEG mags. I will have a tank in my stock in a few weeks.

Shoot it, and you;ll forgive the mag venting pretty fast, it blew my mind, and I already had high hopes.

Does the bolt cycle or is it a dummy?

If it does have a functioning bolt, and does it lock open after the last shot?

I'll get one in two weeks for sure. This was something I was waiting for, finally someone came with quality and competitive price. Ill just hook my tank on it and use realcaps. I will try it on a external winter game. Lets see if the tank can compensate the lack of pressure.

Are there any independent reviews on this? While I hate HPA, I'm curious as to how this is as an alternate to a polarstar gun for those so inclined.

The polarstar is a different design. Fully pneumatic operation electronic solenoid operation and fully programmable. Fully regulated with a <450psi HPA tank. No recoil either.

In the world of paintball, Tippmanns are the rental blow backs vs the tournament electronic solenoid operated guns.

The Tippmann is basically a T98 blow back paintball gun internals stuffed into a M4 exterior. Input tank pressure is 800psi or CO2. Thus the preceived lower price over a Polarstar.

I am sure the Tippmann M4 will still do well.

shooting Video. primitive, I know.. if its nice at the field Matt is going to do something more complete soon.

I wish I had waited and got the, mag release, part of shooting this gun. . as it is very hard to release a mag under pressure. Takes a Thumb push to disengage it,.. not so attractive. AGE mags pop in and out nicely.

Does it look like the Tippy M4 internals will drop into a standard V2 AEG receiver? I would rather put it into one of my nice VFC and other M4 with full trades.

The internals are not removable. You can see it in all the videos that the internals are molded to the upper and lower receiver.
