^ What's ghosting?
I got the exact same RDS (from elsewhere). The entire unit is metal but the paint finish has a nice rubber feel to it. Although there are 3 brightness levels for each red/green, personally I think the difference is very minimal. I don't know if it's the same for you marcwhite but there is a little red tint (entire lens area) when I look through mine, so I just use level 1 green.
The top "iron sight" is quite crappy, I actually removed mine (hex screws) so it's not blocking my view. Initially I was afraid that the tube design will slow down my aiming ability. Luckily there is unlimited eye relief so reflex aiming is very fast. The 4x ACOGs at Huang's place have terrible eye relief; then again this is not 4x. When trying out Huang's Eotechs, I immediately notice glare on the lens; something that was not present on this ACOG RDS, probably due to the tube design "covering" the lens at two ends. Unfortunately, it is not 100% (more like 80-90%) parallax free.

Next is "ghosting". When a tiny laser dot is projected on a 2 way mirror projection lens, the quality of the lens is very important. With cheap red dots, you tend to get the full brightness "real dot" centered and a "ghost dot" that appears less bright and slightly off center. This is very distracting.
