In despair, try the ink tube of a bic pen. I heard from good source that it's a good replacement for a hopup bucking.

Bucking is the little nub that goes outside the sleeve and that applies the pressure on it.
You might want to consider the PDI L96 hop-up chamber. 50$ and you can use AEG tightbores and rubbers. You have to remove the receiver/barrel assembly. Then remove all the cross screws. Open the stock in half. On the left section, just in front of the magwell, is a little plate held in place by two screws. Under that is the lever and a spring. Fiddle with it until you find the right way. The follower of your magasine is pushing on a lever that is then pushing on that little lever. The spring it there to hold it closed when there is still bbs.

Here.
The sleeve is the larger tube-like part. The bucking is the little nub. These are for AEG, but the parts in your L96 should be similar. And here is the PDI part I am talking about: |

Ya, i have the hop-up chamber on order from PDI, but on the "Well", the "bucking" is not there. Its the sleeve/hop-up rubber that locks the BB in once the BB has been chambered. I put the gun back together without the sleeve (it got mangled) , and the BB's roll out of the barrel now. |

You would need a sleeve for APS-2 Type 96.
But since you have that PDI chamber on the way, better just wait for it. And you will need a new barrel too. You can't use your old one with that chamber. |

The bic ink tube work for AEGs. I never compared the size of both hopup rubber (bucking). But Vondnik once proposed it for my PDI hopup in my old M24.

I tried to get the WELL but I couldn't and had to settle with the UTG, which isn't all too bad tbqh. Then again, I've never used the WELL so what do I know... haha

is there any way to replace parts of the original chamber without going to aeg barrels? or is there a hop-up chamber that uses the stock barrel?

You can use a file to make AEG-like grooves in the original barrel.
