im sure if we all write them a letter explaining what is/isnt legal here to import they would listen. We could probably just send them the Import FAQ Gryphon wrote.

No matter what we write they won't allow it because some random guy will try to order something that is illegal to import, get it seized and then file a complaint with paypal or his credit card company and get a refund.

This is probably what happened repeatedly and caused them to enforce this policy. WGC almost did the same once and it seems like they changed their mind on it.

Just about to crawl into bed since I do have to start work early tomorrow when my computer yelled at me. Redwolf sent me a reply to my message about why I was canceling the "IMO" order I placed; reads as follows:

Now I sent another e-mail about this thread and that many others here in Canada can not complete an order. So maybe the good news is here that this is all just a glitch and will be fixed shortly!...

The bad maybe like everyone else they've no fucking clue what I'm talking about.

It almost certainly sounds like morons ordering stuff, having it taken and then getting refunds....and probably blaming Redwolf out of ignorance too.

That, or also likely, it's just another money grab. As some of you say, they used to charge an extra $50 for shipping to Canada?? Smells like bullshit to me. That $50 has absolutley no good reason for being docked. They may have a lot of good stuff but they still aren't very fair with shipping prices....at least whenever I order from them. I'll get like a few gear articles and some small accesories and they'll cram it all into one little box and then dock me $55 for it.

So....who knows. Could be a glitch or maybe they are up to something.

Okay I just tried with a number of items, including an AEG, and I'm not getting any of that -- both when I try to ship out "anonymously" and when I did it logged into my account. In all cases, I get a shipping quote, option to pay via PayPal (and even the Checkout With PayPal option which bypasses entering shipping info on the RW site itself).

I still hate that you HAVE to use Express Shipping if you use PayPal/credit card. That's one of the reasons I still prefer eHobby and UNC

I dont mind this at all..I usually get my stuff in 3 business days...works for me

That's why I always bought from them, I could make a WGC or UNC order two weeks in advance and the RW order got to my place the fastest! Its mostly because of the ordering system, with RW you just entered CC info and the order was complete, with WGC or UNC you have to go through two or three e-mails to get the final item has shipped.
