Ah! very clever...
Might give that a go actually, sounds quite handy. The M60 is a TOP Standard. A lot of people give them bad press but I havent had any problems at all with mine. I have had it for over a year with regular use and its still going strong!

Yeah they were using choc chip helmet covers. I did the ranger loadout. All I can say is paracord and high speed tape are your friend.

Rangers were still wearing the chocolate chip covers, while the Marines were wearing full 6-color BDU and flak cover.

More like mix'n'match for the Marines, I have pics and saw multiple clips from then and I gotta say many Marines had the earlier non-ripstop heavy weight 3clr uniforms but the rest was 6clr. I also have pics somewhere in my computer at home of Rangers in full 6clr.

Perhaps that the rangers wore choc chip desert camo on purpose. In the battlefield, it signifies that they are rangers, rather than basic infantry.

So here's my ALICE kit with modded suspenders. It actually makes the whole kit a whole lot more stable on you.

Rangers wore the chocolate chip camo uniforms aswell as the 3 color DCUs.
An the 3 color DCUs weren't brand new during Somalia/1993. I've seen pics of some Rangers wearing DCUs in the 1991 Gulf War. http://www.bravo57.com/tfr.htm |
