airsoft adds up pretty dam fast

Ya after spending about 1K on my m70 project my wallet decided to give me hell (school and friends etc). So i had to cancel it, sold most of my parts enough to buy a jg 416 for about 360 after upgrades and downgrades will be about 420 and i got a pistol off a friend. so im set for now

I stopped counting sometime last year when I surpassed $6000. since then I have purchase a few more items including a gun that was $2500, and it is all locked up and protected by flying lead so good luck

I did not get into airsoft until I was done university and had my bills paid, simply because it's expensive and I didn't feel like getting a POS kit.

Definitely the right move.

well you can take off ~$300 after i buy your MK23, and then add that 300 to my wallet. Im at $1000 if you add up everything airsoft related i own. I still have to buy a case for my M14 and more mag pouches for my vest, as well as a scope mount. thats just the bare necessities! I still have to buy kos's pistol, which will add another 300 to my bill and then i gotta upgrade that and my M14! and dont even get me started on the Tanaka Mauser Kar98k that i want to buy... =(
Of course that was from xmas money, as well as some of my own, plus a few gifts (2 mags and a charger)

I think in the last 8 months I have put around $5000-6000 between my PTW (gun, cylinders, batteries, mags), my ICS M4, more mags, batteries. My LBVs, boots, BDUs, eyewear, side arm, etc. The sad part, I expect i will be putting another $2000-2500 this year, and the sadest part, a couple of my teammates trump me big time in that department. They are the gear whores.

PTWs are wallet killers. But... soo worth it.

I have no regrets believe me, I love it. I would buy another in a second if I could justify and I didn't have a list of other airsoft stuff I want to buy first, like night vision,etc

My CO2 handguns don't count as airsoft so inlcuding BBs, CADPAT, and other small things I'm definately over 6K. I'm saving up for another order for PTW stuff. It will be anywhere from $800-$1800. And I don't even have a vest or optics or anything yet. I've played 4 indoor games so far that's it. I'm just getting started.

+1 about PTWs. The cost is painful. But everything feels so cheap in comparison.

In two years, over $3800. I started off slow to get a feel for the game. Once I got my gear and my M733 the total more than doubled... an M4 platform, and 2 themed kits will do that to your wallet. Problem is that I have school tuition and living costs(rent/groceries/BB's) to deal with, so my collecton is lacking variety.
