yeah its funny seeing someone crack open an AR15, and then find out they lost their pin. HK was thinking about everythig when they engineerd this rifle. its even found on the XM8 on the carrying handle. i cant stress enough how perfect this carbine has been made (not the airsfot version). integrated optics, ambidextrous cocking and fire select, polymer frame, and best of all the gas system is incredable (supposedly 25,000 rounds with no jamming or barrel cleaning) they basically took what the best qualities of every were. if you want to know more check this out.
http://hkpro.com/G36.htm Still, the good ol AR and AK fanboys will never bow down to it... : ) |

Still, the good ol AR and AK fanboys will never bow down to it... : )[/QUOTE] becuase it is THE ugliest weapon on the planet, I heard the US forces turned it down because no other armys would take them seriously if they out fitted their soldiers.......j/k |

The XM8 isn't ugly, its just to far ahead of its time, it looks like a damn laser gun... People arn't used to having stormtroopers in white shinny armor running around yet
I like the Futuristic look of both the G36 and XM8, thats why I bought a G36... Plus the fact it functions well. I also like the "Beretta Cx4 Storm": To bad theres no airsoft version.

G36 is very sexy with a weaver rail top instead of the carrying handle, but the mags suck
XM8 and FN SCAR are just plain ugly G11 not only looks like a laser gun, but it was a laser gun in demolition man |

good lord not another HK what looks good thread. lol. first off.
the XM8 is a stylized G36, there is no difference in rifles other than barrel length and body design. yes the Xm8 is a little to futuristic looking, but it has it cute moments with me. look up swatt13, he will turn you on to Xm8's : ) The US army should have took up the g36 IMO, it is a rifle born from lessons, mistakes and problems of other rifles. The bundswher use it (German military) and they are a force to be reckoned with, if you've been in school, you might know that the Germans and war have a bit of history together. also its popping up a lot in Police special weapon units all over the states, also the G36C is a candidate for the rifle of choice for RCMP security in the coming Olympic games in BC. The G11 is ugly, period. also the Cx4 storm is pretty cool looking but, is a poor firing rifle. its jams alot i found. maybe is the one i shot. I dont mean to come off as a know it all, thats just my opinion in all of that. |

another few things you might not have noticed on the G36 (CA's anyways) is the bolt catch, located infront of the trigger (its a little square button). The real steel version, this will lock back the bolt for take down, or it will release the bolt. Also, if you pull the bolt back, and push down the end of the lever, you can catch the end in a groove, making easier to adjust hop up. Just a bunch of little things for you guys to like on your AEG's!
