And THIS is why it's now known as Airsoft-pat.

204 Tactical has a repro-multicam set for $110 or something like that. I just got my set from Ken today, and I must say it's well built and easily worth the money.

And the best part is it fits me.

I've paid more for Tru-Spec only to have it fade horribly after 1 washing and fall apart after being worn about 10 times.

The quality is easily on par with my Propper ACU set and was half the money. I think there is even Marpat woodland and ACU stuff available as well.

And the fact that they are easily rated as the worst digi camo out there. :P

There are actually Canadian LE agencies who use Multicam.

Gentlemen,

We actually ship case lots of our MultiCamâ„¢ products to Fort Bragg as well as to various Canadian law enforcement agencies as Farmboy claims.

Real MultiCam is made of mil-spec fabrics and in the case of apparel fabrics, vat-dyed as opposed to printed, as on "fake" uniforms.

If you have noticeable fading issues in just a few washings on a "modern" digital uniform it is NOT mil-spec hence fake....no matter what your supplier told you. Current mil-spec IRR fabrics are extremely fade resistant due to the stringent dye specifications.

MultiCam, the real stuff, is IRR and dyed on mil-spec fabrics and is infact used by special military and law enforcement units.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

Kindest Regards
Brian Kroon

I'll add this that I've noticed. I bought one of the kick ass Drop Zone Recce Smocks from Farmboy (Brian reminded me of this), and one thing that might be mistaken as fading is the way cotton blend fabics are. Crye material doesn't fade, but the sharpness of a new garment will *soften* with a few washings, meaning that the colours are still there 100%, but the nature of washed cotton is that tiny little cotton fibres create a slight fog on top of the material. Anyone who has tattoos will know what I am talking about, if you shave the skin over the tattoo regularly, it'll looks sharp and detailed as the day you got it (ok, not 100%, but close) because the tiny guard hairs on the skin will soften the look of the tattoo, making it look like it's fading. Same with fabric, tiny little fibres fuzz up and make the sharp contrast slightly subdued, but that shouldn't be mistaken as fading. My Recce Smock has been worn a LOT, has been rained on, has been washed a half dozen times, it's softening, but all the colours and contrasts are still there. IMHO, it actually looks a lot better like this than when brand new.

Two points:

1/ Who said you said it was?

2/ Airsoft-pat: Who cares? Some love it and can use it well, others use it because it's fashionable, others buy it to wear when chairsofting. Seen enough pics of guys on the range, in gun training courses, etc. wearing multicam and weesatches, etc. firing off real AR-15s and having real ***** style handgun in their uber-cool drop leg holster. I'd say it's more "Civie-Cam" than just "Airsoft-pat". Besides, I'd much rather look like an airsofter than a paintballer!

Airsoft-pat who realy cares like stalker said. It is actually very effective and works well for some airsoft players and not so well for others. Its personal preference much like everything else in airsoft. Some like Cadpat, others dont.

As far as the Fabric goes, I have said these in atleast 3 different threads now, The Cat here on ASC makes Multicam BDUs aswell as many others using real Crye Multicam. This should not be confused for actual Crye Uniforms, but just the matierial. If you want a good and cheap alterinative to getting expsensive shit at a reasonable price for high quality hit him up with a PM.

Dave's and Seals's use "Crye" Fabric to make their Multicam..the HK stuff is not real Crye fabric but repro. That is what some people on here are trying to say..
