Id say once you spend the money make it worth it... I dont think these guns are worth the price that are intact. Save up alittle more and go with either TM, ICS or any other reputable company.

But nice review!

Precisely!

Those paintjobs look like absolute shit. You could have gotten better results by dipping them in a can of house paint. Sweet jesus those are terrible. I don't know how a company could have such QC. This is utterly shameful. If a retailer sold me something like that I'd demand my money back. There is absolutely no excuse to sell something like that to your customers unless you make damn well sure they are well aware of the condition of the gun. No excuses what-so-ever.

what ? no it is not! with any business airsoft or not it is up to the retailer to properly advertise their products. I have never asked if a gun was spray painted when I bought them from a retailer on the list at the top of this site and I will never have too.

Exactly. Who the hell would even think to ask such a question? I mean it is a CYMA but even so, these guns are worse than any other AEG I have seen.

So wait...

What was the original color, under the paint?
Was the gun red? Who exacly painted it red and where can I buy a basic red one?

I mean... If you could import the basic red one without problems (I amagine), you could use them for renting/loaning out for a cheap price. With a good spray job. In flat black, for sure.

On one of the CYMAS I actually stripped down all the paint, the gun looks identical to the TM, but the body is a tady bit darker and more glossy. I just resprayed it again, but as for the lower reciever plate, I left the pistol grip unpainted along with trigger/selector switch, I may remove the paint around the markings later on again.

NOTE: This first batch is the last of painted guns, after this the guns will be normal.

Those don't look bad at all, (aside from the orange flash hiders) - why were they painted in the first place? To remove the gloss?

Yeah the looks of this first batch of CYMA's sucks but I don't mind it one bit, for this price the preformance of this gun is awesome ... I'm currently getting a stock TM MP5 Inner Barrel and maybe a stronger motor and this gun will preform like a moderately upgraded TM. For half the price. Heck if you want the gun NOW without the paint just buy it off of A&A in the ChinaSoft section.

Silly you......you know you can't convince people to make a smarter choice than TM. But in this case, well, if it's as reliable as you say then mabey, just mabey it would be worth the hassle.

I do have to agree with most others though, as laughable as I find a TM plastic body to be, at least they do look real. How the facorty could be so.....evil? cheap? as to let that go to the shelves is a little insane. I would have to bow my head in shame if my boss send to send something that looked like that out to the market.

... did you not notice that that isn't the original paintjob, it was a repaint because of Customs troubles?

AxnTrix stripped the paint off with ease, perhaps he could enlighten us on how he did that. The actual factory condition of the guns don't look that bad at all.

And also, as he said, this is the last batch. All guns after this are to be looking exactly like this-

Which isn't that bad, yes?

Oh, ok then. So then who painted them like that? Why did it have to be done this time?

Your on the right track. Heck, it doesn't take much time to simply use a few dabs of paint thinner and rub. If you bought the CYMA from BC Airsoft and the paint smells it's cause its rust paint. If it bugs you THAT much just get some paint thinner and rub the two layers of paint off. A toothbrush might help and wear latex gloves when you do or your hands will be black for the next bit XD

This is the first batch, it is over and done. When they start coming in larger quantities they will no longer have any paint on it. Like I said, they are also available on A&A but a little more expensive.
